What sales? Haha. One tip is to price it around $1 to 10m gold when pricing. Even then, it doesn't sell

Horrible. Zuni rings with 4.5 cc used to sell for $15 minimum aren't even selling for under $7 now. Prices in gold have gone up while RMAH prices have tanked making for a more balanced market, which absolutely SUCKS for flippers...

Gold already down to 0.8 USD / 1 million Gold. Even at $1 / 10 million Gold, you're overpricing the price of gold by 25%. Not a good time for flippers. Too much Gold flowing in, not enough players to make up the difference. The idea was that the economy would stabilize because fewer players would produce less Gold, but by just letting the Gold farmers continue, Blizzard is aiding in creating the enormous imbalance. I still think that most Gold farmers don't come back after the next banwave so I'm not sure why they're waiting for at this point.

Terrible isn't the word for it - and i'm probably sitting on more zuni rings then anybody else here - around 40 of them - most of them with int of +180 and I can't even get rid of them in the $8 range. Somebody put up a +180 int ring on the rmah for $3.00 and that didn't even sell over the weekend.

I don't want to panic, but well, I'm ready to press the shiny red button. I'm going to start lowering the prices and just look at it like well, i'm ahead of the game, even ditching these rings are crazy low prices and instead of looking to profit just look to close out what I've got and look to find a new market.

TIme to put a fork in it - especially after that $3 +180 int ring not selling - thats just insane that it wouldn't sell, over the weekend, at 3 bucks.

Meaning nothing is sellable now in rmah? Prices are dead bottom?

Gold is down to about 0.065-0.07 USD. That $3 Int ring is the same as 42-50 million Gold. I was tracking a few high profile Legendaries and it looks like the buyouts are getting pretty consistent between the two auction houses on a 0.07 USD / 1 Million basis. RMAH is still alive, but you're looking in the range of 100 million Gold to sell a $5 item.

I had 3 sales last week, none over weekend but had items down for 24h. I'm really glad i kept my balance in RMAH rather than trading out more gold than I needed. The value of my RMAH gold goes up each time prices go down.

You guys are just flipping the wrong way now.

Buy in RMAH, sell in gold. Profit. ;)

I think each new patch attracts new players in. They play for a few weeks to month...don't know the market well...spend money in RMAH...leave after a bit. Its been over a month for 1.07...so we might go cold till 1.08.

So, when I thought all was going into the crapper, I had 8 sales this weekend.

3 x $1.25 .... and they were pretty shitty rings.
2 x $8.89-all of them 180+ Int rings (to be fair, I was pricig them at $11 and they didn't sell but did on price drop)
1 x 125M GAH that I had picked up for 8M
2 x 98M GAH that I had picked up for 20M and 18M.

And the best part, I only bought 3 new rings - yeah, yeah, yeah, i know, wth am I doing buying more rings - well, when I see a +180 Int ring going for less than 10M I buy it. I just ... can't ... help .... myself ..... agggggg.

At this pace I'll get rid of my inventory in, ohhh, about 36 months timeframe ..... nahh, won't be that bad but damn I gotta stop buying those +180 int rings .... part of it, though, is that if I don't buy them, anybody looking for a "good" ring may very well just buy that one instead of buying mine at a higher price.

At least when everybody from diablohub here was buying the rings, anything priced low wouldn't last long and was taken off the market .... now, i think i'm all thats left to the market (for good reason though).

Oh well, like i said, I'm on the plus side even if I gave away all 45 of my current rings for free - so i'll keep chompin at the bit.

After a bit over 24 hours I got a 3.99 USD sale (2.99 net) on this pretty little thing I picked up while leveling my Monk to 60:

I couldn't find an upgrade for under a million Gold on the AH until level 57 so I'm not really surprised to see it sell. Given the time it took to sell, I feel I got a good price on it. Thanks to the posters that said leveling gear is still selling!

Gold price was a measly 0.066 USD / 1 million yesterday which makes the sale a cool 60 million Gold -- 45 million net and 36 million after converting AH fees and Illinois sales tax to convert it. I'm actually probably going buy a few perfect star emeralds and rubies just so I don't have to keep swapping them between characters (I'll give up 10% CD for the convenience).

Wow that ring is ridiculous, it's hard to find experience that high on such a low level ring. It's good to see that this market is still active!

Hey guys is it better to put buyout or just let the market decides for itself? Thank you cheers.

There is almost never a circumstance where an item shouldn't have a buyout.

Unless you have extremely high visibility (top 90% of all the searchable stats on your item), you should put a buyout on it.

I typically will undercut an items about 10% lower than mine (ex. mine has 100 int, theirs has 90 int) by enough to make it "cheaper". Usually will get sales fairly quickly. A lot depends on the item and how much *@#& you have to sell through. I always think items are losing value (and most are), so I dump everything as quickly as I can. Sell at market price, move on to the next item.

The only reason I can think of not to put a buyout, is if you're not sure of the value, but sure it will get seen by a lot of people.

In that case, you should have asked in the forum the value of the item.

I have no idea what's happening on EU but yesterday (Tuesday) I had 4 sales!

1x 18.99 €
2x 6.99 €
1x 4.99 €
(all before cut)

This should catapult me to about 800 million. Eventually, I may reach the 1 billion line.

Good luck with your sales and have a nice day!

Well, in the brag thread i mentioned that I bought a nice frog that put my damage up over 100k for 125M on the GAH. Well, after messing around I found another frog that took my damage up to around 95k for a lot less - and I mean, a TON less (10M instead of 125M). Sitting thinking, well, for 5k more in damage is it worth spending 125M?

I ran around in mp0, mp1, mp2 and so on up until mp5 - and realized I had no "need" for that extra dps the way I play - especially since I rarely - and I mean rarely- play, so I put it up on the RMAH. I listed it for $79 and then dropped it for a bit and keep re-listing it. Last night I listed it for $39.95 .... and it sold.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I would been happy getting 10 bucks for the thing but I figured, hey, why not try for more since the damn rings aren't moving well (they're moving, but its like 3 or 4 a week instead of 3 or 4 a day)

After taking out paypal cut thats $33.11 into my pocket. Not too shabby.

@baccarat0809 Awesome! If you were to have kept that as b.net balance and converted it back to gold via RS gems, it would have returned around 530 million Gold for a cool 425% ROI. Great flip!

Over time, I've become worse at spending much less to get mostly the same effect. MOAR DAMAGE!

I've really begin to ask myself why i needed that extra damage, and to be honest, i can't give a good reason. It will take an absolute ridiculous amout to get enough damage to get to MP-10 - and for what? I can't make a good enough argument.

While I still enjoy the game, with this decision the game has absolutely turned into a money maker instead of time waster. I get more enjoyment knowing that people are spending actual money to buy stuff that I'm flipping. I just can't believe that people will pay for pixels. Still, to this day, I can't believe it.

Anyway, i'll keep hacking away at my sales and if i get anything interesting i'll post up. Right now I've got a 708 DPS black spectrum that I'm trying to sell for $69. When that goes (*IF it goes*) i'll let you guys know.

carry on !!!

Had 4 sales over the weekend all under $4. I've not had a sale in about 3 weeks prior to that.

Almost out of stock of my usual flips, but it's been bloody slow getting rid of them. Not sure what to look into next, if anything.

Well, had 1 good sale over the weekend. Sold that high end Spectrum for $79. I had it listed for about 2 weeks before it sold but that was a real nice mark-up for me and puts me now over $200 in "cash-out". I still have over 50 rings to move though as they are very, very slow to move - though every once in a while i'll have a "spurt" where i'll sell 2 or 3 of them, but the mark-up is non-existant and most of that work is just getting my money back now.

I'm hoping that 1.08 brings enough players back that I can dump the majority of those rings. I really gotta find something else that moves faster - though to be honest i'm not sure if that exists anymore.

I sold a Wailing Host with 50% CD and Dex for $25 yesterday. Still very much alive in the higher end markets.
