Perfect weapon

What is the ideal weapon for a WD? I can spend around 6 mil for this weapon. I know Crit Damage and a socket are almost necessary for any good weapon. I am looking for stats in a weapon that can clear MP3 with relative ease.

Mana regen as well. Depends on your build but if you can fit lifesteal / LoH but that might be tricky on 6M budget.

I actually might have one in my stash that's worth around that..

It depends on your budget too.

I have been looking for one at Hardcore, with limited budget. I actually bought two of the same leg, because I haven't decided on which stats are good, and have to complement other stats on my overall gears. None of them has a socket. None of them is ceremonial knife.

It is hardcore. And budget is hard.

@douvinsky

For me gem prices don't allow me to buy high end gems so you can save yourself some cash and skip socket. I just set the CD to 70 as I won't buy a gem above that level anyway.

Don't think 6mil can get you a weapon that can clear MP3 with ease. An good affordable WD weapon at that price is probably a manajuma carving knife with Life Steal and Crit Damage (both already inherent).

If you are looking for something for SC I have a manajuma knife for you. Add me and I'll link it to you later. (I am at work now) It's nothing fancy but it may be what you are looking for.

Apart from the mana regen affix, i think the wd can use any weapon and not too dependent on a specific weapon. Loh and and life steal is a good bonus but just like other weapons, go for socketed ones. My wd doesn't have LoH or lifesteal.(i think), i have the zero (well..almost zero) zombie dogs build with 35K health globe attr. My main difficulty is to increase overall damage. (currently 40K).

Ideally, for my Hardcore, I would like my 1H to have the followings:

1. High base dmg
2. High Intel
3. High Vital
4. Loh/ LS
5. Crit Dmg
6. A socket
7. Max Mana Pool + Mana regen
8. And being a purely black damage weapon

A 1H that has all of the above is gonna be very very expensive.

I have a limited budget hence I worked my other gears out to help reduce the cost to an affordable level:

Crit Dmg on rings and amulet, gloves
900 Loh on amulet
Life% and high vital in armors where possible
Max Mana Pool and mana regen in off-hand and Voodoo mask

At the end, I chose an often undervalued legendary:
Sky Splitter

It can never have a socket and a crit damage roll together. Hence it is generally cheaper........

The smite proc, what I read but not confirmed or tested, is a chance to stun enemy (single target?) for 0.5 second, and on top of that double the damage done (hence 20% proc is somehow equivalent to 20% increase in the DPS, but..........too bad there is also an internal cooldown of 2-3 seconds between proc hence it is more like 20%/2 to 20%/3 increase in DPS. I would find the stun and life regen helpful in Hardcore.

A little update/bump

I just bought a echoing fury for my WD. EF pros (imo)
Always black damage
-my current black damage sword allows boots to add 6.4k dps
-will update what EF black was adds as bnet hasn't updated yet
Fear adds some survival
I do not use bears so faster ghost bombs is good.

I've finally managed to snipe a new sword for my sacrifice dogs WD (might take some time to update though).

I'm really happy with it since it adds so much to my already high sustain. Rubys ftw!
