Is there a trick to using the VoA check point in the latest patch? I walk back to the hidden camp after setting the VoA checkpoint in a previous game and there is no portal back to the Vault.

Have you tried leaving and resuming game ? There should be a portal in the camp. Also it may have something to do with your quest, try and use the Black Soulstone - Soulstone Chamber.

@moloch154, upvote to @raulz0r. I believe it's "Begin Quest" on Quest 8 in Act 2. Don't enter Kuhle's lair, don't enter the other Kuhle Cave in the Desolate Sands and you'll always start in the VoA regardless of where else you go in the Act (e.g., Keywarden hunting).

I have tried leaving and resuming. Basically there is no portal in town when I walk back. I have been starting at the Lord of Lies quest, finding VoA, then leaving. I will try starting at the Black Soulstone/Chamber and see if that helps.

That worked. Starting in the Bazaar for the Lord of Lies quest must overwrite the portal to the last check point. Thank you very much!!!

hmm i used to do this in the previous patch without any problems not sure if they changed something in 107, but glad you figured it out |

I personally use The Soulstone Chamber quest, with obviously not entering any dungeon that is quest related. |

It should work with a portal when you have the black soul stone quest, if you do not trigger any other check points. This is basically how and where I grind my last level at Hardcore.
