Figure i have the most time with Barb, but like WD a lot as well.
Also, can anyone help converting some of my SC gold to HC? IF so let me know how much you can swing. |

WD has 2nd chance, while Barb is stronger and cheaper to gear (I think!).
Level both to 60 (no need to be at the same time!), then focus on one for farming and the other one as a back up toon. When my WD die I immediately switch focus to my back up monk at 60. I have another 60 Barb I hope I don't have to call him for his service that soon! I don't have enough HC gold to help out at the moment. Just spent another 300m on a lovely Skorn (not updated in my profile yet, stuck at the AH). Anyway I have no use for SC golds anymore (not playing at SC anymore). If you want to flip some items for small profits (a few hundred Ks per day) you are welcome to use my AH niche. |

BTW while I was playing my WD, I looted/ crafted all those monk & barb gears which prompted me to level my monk and barb to reach 60 just to equip them. My WD actually managed to loot all 6 pieces of the IK set for my barb (at the end brimmed one, sold 3 for a few hundreds m, still two equipped I think).

But I do actually understand what you meant. To @Khan and @StukthrtlI can't help, cause (A) I'm on EU server and (B) I have never been above 25mil HC gold but I have some good news. Depending on what your aim is. If you actually want to finish inferno HC it can be done with quite a low budget, and a lot of patience. I don't think I spent more than 20mil gold in total on my Monk. I have never reached the point where it's easy or safe. And I can't even play MP1, but I have finished my solo-run in one piece. |

The Barb is cheapest to gear, I spend on mine around 2-3mil, and I tank MP1, I can sit in Plague, Desecrator and Arcane at same time just raising my hp with Rend.

@zerokewl would understand my situation. I was eyeing this Skorn and I had to ask 50m from him to complete the purchase! Hence at this moment I am short of cash, but I should be able to pick up fast. In any case I am sure I can help out by the time they are in Hardcore. I usually looted some decent gears or have some spare lying around. |

@Stukthrtl @Khan I took a look at the hardcore trading forum and it seems the rate went up to ~4.5-5SC for 1 HC. I have around 70m to part with, willing to do 4:1 with you guys. US server.

No worries I knew I would attract some jealousy when I mentioned 300m. ^-^. But I wrote them down anyway. I am perhaps used to "bragging" at Hardcore, hopefully by doing so can attract more members to come try Hardcore and dig this goldmine of Hardcore economy. Patch 1.08 could have slowly changed it though - less gear sink, more players leveling faster. @Khan I think you stopped Hardcore when your DH RIP during your sleep. Get yourself back in and we can rock it together! The prices of decent gears seem to be declining, so with your 70m I think you would be able to gear up quite well (especially with a barb? I often see barbs running around in pub with respectable DPS and I see they wear mostly rares). @zerokewl If you are serious about gearing up your new monk with a LS Skorn, let me know and I will pull off my old Skorn from the AH, and give you a price better than 1D12hr! |
