So I ran a Vortex monk at Hardcore after replacing the DPS skill WoL quite a while ago (due to co-op loves pulling and hates knocking back), and @yoyo has been suggesting this super cool Exploding Palm thing in addition to my Vortex.
While I have been scratching my head on what skills to switch out for Exploding Palm (Senenity in Hardcore? No way lol!), I got the solution today when I ran MP5 with Darkness and Yudz. We were specialising in one of these skills each :D. So it was Cyclone Strike/ Exploding Palm, and Bell, GG. Pull, explode, Bell, knockback but pull again, rinse and repeat. Below are some screenshots taken. Cyclone Strike - Implosion Wave of Light Exploding Palm - Flesh is Weak ![]() ![]() |

Looks fun. I really should start using Cyclone Strike in my builds also.

Would be interesting to try and run all 3 yourself.
But you have to give up either your mantra, your sweeping wind or serenity. And I don't know how well your spirit will hold up using all 3. Might test it on my SC monk. Seems like a nice idea to run like you guys did. But that requires some mega team work and timing. |

Took me quite some time to think of a good title, which is informative enough and can (just) squeeze within the space limit of forum title! @yoyo Since you have some experience in using Exploding Palm, perhaps you could use that when we run it next time? @zerokewl If you wanna try this with us, maybe you can use WoL? We could then form our deadly team of this trifecta skills, and call ourselves the Diablo Ruthless Monk Trio a.k.a ~~~~~~~ Diablo RMT ~~~~~~~ Sort of reminding us of how we met |

I'll use whatever skills I can to make the party stronger. I would have used EP today when we were running but the other monk seemed to be doing his own thing half the time. It made more sense to use the bells after your vortex. I still don't get why peeps don't follow the guy with vortex. Why not smash a group of monsters that are stuck all together as opposed to hitting them one at a time? I'm probably assuming too much with the common sense thing lol. |

The other monk seems to be idle most of the time, that I almost thought he DC or lagged out. I remembered he once said there are too many things on the ground to pick up lol. Not sure what he was actually doing. Anyway I think me me and you and the P100 WD pretty much own the mobs in MP5 with the monk lagging behind. And yes, follow me, I am the eye of the storm. You can find those legs beneath my, legs. |
