How Do You Keep Playing?

I haven't been playing a whole lot lately, but I just picked it back up today. Hopefully I score some sweet items when I get my prize! =)

I hit a brickwall at one point and was playing less and less, to be honest i'm not certain what got me back into it. I've recently started helping people with boss kills for free and give advice on builds to help them out. The Auction House Tycoon always seems to get me back into it, just to see how much an item can sell for. Personally i've sold items for 8mil but i've only ever spent max 2mil on an item which was a spear with LoH which im still using to date.

Now that they are bringing in new legendaries and build diversity, it'll spark the interest for a lot of people to start playing again.

Let's hope i don't get dragged away with Guild Wars 2 as i've purchased it and have played a few stress tests, it's seriously fun but it's a time sink. Playing 1hour of GW2 won't get you far but one hour of D3 is quick, fun and can yield you a great item to sell

You should try playing co-op. It is harder but a lot more fun, and it becomes a challenge to beat it.

Act 3 co-op is especially hard though.

I have joined public games for inferno... It was horrible, It was a bunch of people with 400 dps weapons being chased around by an elite pack, dying 50 times until they finally leave the game or lead the elite to some obscure part of the map.

I actually lol'd at this response post. Nice description of pub games.

Haha, it is kind of true to some degree. If you join act2/3 you will notice everyone is a lot better geared, if you are planning on playing act3 in pub, make sure you join the second quest because everyone in the first quest generally just came from ACT2 . We all know the difficulty jump between ACT2 and ACT3 :-)

Act1 seems to be just a bunch of farmers now, which isn't necessarily a bad thing

Lol... can't say I never did that when I had no gear. Even now it's still fun though!

Downed Inferno 4 player Co-Op was a blast for me. I still hop on a few times a week and item hunt, but not nearly as much as I used to. Pony runs as fun for me.
