Level 97. It takes approximately 9.5 BILLION experience to reach level 97. An Act 3 mob gives approximately 5000 exp... so that's the equivalent of about 1.9 million white mobs killed. I don't clear all of Act 3, but I clear most of it... I get about 20 M experience on the whole run. It would take me 475 runs to reach 97. I think I've cleared Act 3 like 20-25 times (at most doing 3 runs per day) and that's about all my sanity can take.

By any stretch of the imagination (radiant star in the helm, leoric's ring on char AND leoric's ring on follower), that's... impressive?

Edit: Just did some simple math here. So Alkaizer has about 20 times as much exp as me (I am level 21). Assuming ideal conditions (radiant star, leoric's) and the speed of WW barb in clearing mobs, I think we can estimate an upper bound near... 50 M exp/hour? That would be about 3x faster than me (16 M/hour). That means he has to play about 7x more than I do. I play about 2 hours a day (more on the weekends). So he needs to play about 14 hours a day. No tricky business going on here... just a CRAPLOAD of farming and dedication.

This is legit, i do about 6 hours a day i think and am at paragon 31 now, without the highest level gem in the Helm. This guy is known to troll people as he logs out with different gear than he's using with all items named "troll". He's probably farming the craters+towers over and over to gain XP as fast as possible.

I'm pretty certain this guy is not exploiting anything, he's just playing a ton of this game, probably like OP says, 14-16hours a day with a WW build, that's easily possible

If you don't catch the live stream you can see one of the videos on there to see his playstyle. He says that he was basically farming A3 since week 3 (he would have stopped playing if it wasn't for the RMAH). He didn't even know he was in the lead at first. Somewhere around paragon level 30 his friend told him that he was in the #1 spot. The way he was MF farming was just that much more efficient than what others were doing. At that point he decided to shoot for the first to reach p-lvl 100. He ignores all drops except for legendaries now (and has a stash full of unid legendaries). He said that once he hits 100, he'll go back to normal farming.

@gnawol Funny enough, he still goes to school full time, so he's not even playing 24/7. Watching the videos for a while, you can see how fast he's gaining experience, showing that it's legit.


Edit: Oh, and if anyone cares, he said he could probably hit p-lvl 100 very late tonight at the pace he's going, but will might put it off until tomorrow.

I listened to the stream for a while last night. He was pretty cool- was answering all sorts of questions, giving tips on how to play, and while he was confident in his lead he didn't seem cocky at all about being #1. I also think it's pretty awesome that the #1 guy is just someone who knows how to play super efficiently, not a bot or a team of people like many speculated would happen.

@zerokewl That's actually all he was doing before. The story above was that he was just farming in the first place for the RMAH. I imagine after a break to sleep, he'll be back at it, except also picking up ilvl 62 rings, amulets and whatever ilvl 63 items have the potential to be worth cash.

When I was in college, I wonder how much I would've been willing to play to get the occasional $20 payoff and rare $100+ payoff. That's potentially a lot of money when you consider how much you make at a normal work study job. Two good lucky Legendary drops could legally bring in over $200 in a single night. Try doing that outside a poker table in college.

I saw this guy's stash when he finished the run,all 3 tabs of the stash were full of unidentified legendaries, as well as 5 or 6 in his inventory, im pretty certain this guy is going to make a killing on RMAH and i congratulate him for his efforts
