Ok, I've read this PC Gamer article where they say at Monster Power 1 all Inferno monsters become level 63 monsters so you have an equal chance at level 63 items across all acts. They also say that going past MP1 does not increase your chances of getting level 63 items.
So, are there benefits for playing higher than monster power 1? One thing not addressed in the interview is whether magic find / gold find / XP bonus increases with each level of monster power. The only hint at this I saw was that MF/GF cap of 300% is lifted at various levels of Monster Power. Any PTR users have some insight on the benefits of going past Monster Power 1? |
Item farming beyond Monster Power 1, benefits?

@theoryzero Monster Power level is the only way to get above the 300% magic find cap (other than Nephalem Valor).
Monster Power level 10 alone is giving 250% MF/GF |

@Anuiran
Ah, this is what I was looking for. 250% MF/GF! Is that also added to Paragon Level MF? So a guy with ZERO MF at PL 17 fighting in MP10 STARTS at 301% MF? Okay, now that's a decent reward... |

@Anuiran Ok, thanks...so that means basically each level of monster power gives you 25% more MF/GF?
If that is the case, with 5 stacks of NV you have a MF/GF of 300% (Paragon Max) + 250% (Monster Power 10) + 75% NV = 625% MF/GF? |

Well that would be worth it indeed.

do we know how much the monster health/dmg increases? yea it makes sense to be on ml 10, but if you can't kill anything and keep getting 1 shotted... its not really worth it, right?

@Anuiran Thanks for confirming! This makes more sense to me than it did after reading the interview.

From the top of my head, the impression is that the damage increase isn't very substantial but HP increase is dramatic. It seems that nobody can sink MP10 Goblins. |
