 Thar she blows!!! Haven't been able to find a similar one on either AH. At least not with a dps that high. Obviously the gem was installed by yours truly and really isn't part of the price that I am looking for. Any clues? |

Nice one!
I have a question on the 2nd and 3rd rolls. How do they interact with each other? Are they multiplicative or additive? I presume the attack speed is shared to the other hand too. Is this true? I probably will try to compare it to a fast dagger with comparable stats, maybe check also explicit crit vs socket, taking into account the implicit lightning damage boost too. Sell it before 105? |

I can't find one with damage as high as mine but the prices are outrageous for the sub 1k dps Wons
I have no idea about this and am curious about this myself...although it seems additive when using it..not quite sure.

As a connoisseur of fine Monk products, my personal opinion is that this should go for no less than 200M. I see a similar (but worse) one for 150M.
987.3 DPS Adds 5% Lightning increases by 21% 164 dex Socket That being said, it's the only 4 digit Won Khim Lau on the entire Auction House, so for the sake of uniqueness, you could try something insane like 500M. I feel like it should go for somewhere between 200-500M. "Adds x% to Lightning damage" is a multiplicative property. It only multiples your physical weapon damage however (it turns the physical damage into lightning and multiplies by that percentage. It works the same way as things such as Inna's Favor, Zunimassa's Trail. "Lightning skills deal x% more damage" is an additive property. This is the REAL sexy perk here. It straight up adds percentage. So you want a lightning skill that hits for a low percentage, but hits frequently... hmmm... what about... Cyclone. Each cyclone hits for 20% of your weapon damage. With this weapon, each cyclone will hit for 42% of your weapon damage. That's over double the damage for each cyclone! A monk hitting fairly quickly with this weapon and a high CC is going to be dealing nearly DOUBLE the DPS (which won't show up on your char, but w/e). Diablo just peed his pants. |

I hate to say this but, I am not going to be selling this for a while. It's too good...end of story.
My offhand, on the other hand (pun intended), is something i am interested in upgrading. Obviously something double crit with LOH would be ideal. LoH is currently my flavor of the moment as this one has it, just not enough to make it work well but enough to leach back some life. I have a fair amount of regen atm, around 1000-1200 which is nice for kiting. Also I notice there are other items out there, legendaries specifically, that add % to lightning damage. This would probably be useful in adding to cyclone damage. I know this has gone away from topic but I am interested in anyone commenting on my build/gear in an effort to improve my monkey ;-) For example, Tal's ammy has a possibility to roll +% lightning damage. That would be a nice boost to SW/cyclone and FoT damage. Are there any other boosts like that anyone can come up with? |

Thanks for your clarifications on those lightning skills/ damage stats. Looks like this fist is a monk's best friend! I am currently sitting at around 50k DPS (with Won Khim Lau) and I am looking forward to boost my DPS further. I suspect I have not made the 'right' weapon choice. They have no sockets, and one of them only have +53% crit damage. I will post my profile in the monk forum and seek help. If you have any good recommendation please let me know! |

Well, I have finally decided to sell my WKL. I obtained a decent "starter" echoing Fury from a friend (cough* @gnawol *cough) and I have a decent offhand with double CD and leech.
While using the WKL as an offhand would be keen (it still has 9k dps advantage over my current offhand) it is no longer practical to use as it doesn't have L-steal. I listed it at 80 min/120 mil buyout because it doesn't seem to be worth any more than that based on other, similar statted WKL's that I have seen. I am a little attached to this weapon because I found it myself but, as they say, sometimes it's just time to move on..... Wish me luck on selling this pretty awesome monk wep as I desperately need to do some upgrading ;-) |
