I've tried selling just about everything and anything you can think of thats a rare on the RMAH and have only sold one - and those were a pair of boots with 12% movement speed on em back in August, until recently.

Not sure how long this is going to last, but I've been able to buy a bunch of Zunimissa Pox rings on the GAH from 600k to 900k and turn around and resell them on the RMAH for anywhere from $1.49 to $2.98. The part that sucks is that each transaction takes $1.00 from ya. I'm up to around $8.00 (would have been at $20.00 without the $1.00 charge) now but I'm out of gold so I need to turn my $$ back into gold - but I think Gold is going to come down to the 25c mark per million and I'm kinda holding off purchasing the gold until then.

Anyway, not sure how much more rings the RMAH can support as when I started doing this 2 weeks ago the cheapest zuni ring was $2.00 or so, now you can regularly find them for $1.25 - albeit with crappy stats. I think you can probably do a decent churn and burn if you have a high enough stat ring but I'd be careful on the lower stat ones for now at least.

Haven't sold anything in months on the RMAH. Just hoarding gold and crafting items until the PVP spike or a new legendary patch comes.

I have never been able to sell anything on RMAH... but I have tried all sorts of things.

On the other hand, I have actually bought quite a lot of gold on RMAH.
About 250mil so far.

My thinking is as follows:
I don't have the greatest GF gear, and spend more time hunting uniques than grinding gold.
So on a good average I make only about 100k-200k per hour. But say I get my gear and plan better I guess I can make about 500k an hour.

On the EU AH gold is going for about 0.25 Euro per million. (Varies actually from 0.33 down to 0.25)
So 1 euro buys me 4 mil gold, which equates to 8 hours of grinding.

So... as a professional my income greatly outweighs 1 euro per day.
The items I was able to buy, and the enjoyment I gained by playing with better items by FAR justifies the money spent.

I do still believe that someday I'll sell something and get some money back. But I also believe that the days of making quick money on RMAH are long gone.

No matter how many times it is explained, it seems there are some that simply cannot grasp this concept.

@sabin

Bottom line, imo, D3, is about nothing more than killin as many monsters as possible in as little time as possible. Pure, downright hack and slash. Better gear yields more monsters dead quicker which means greater "enjoyment" for the player.

All the above is strictly IMO.

A little behind, but you are correct! I believe the people that cannot get it are those without the money, but plenty of time. I dropped some cash to get my Barb up to speed, and am now a farming machine slowly recouping ky INVESTMENT. Yes I feel it was an investment into my hobby that I am likely to recoup at some point.

Totally agree. There's an additional moral argument to this: Who is one to tell a person how they should spend their own money and time?

We all like to play the game. We each have a pool of resources to commit to the game: time and/or money. Some of us have more money while some of us have more time and then there are those that have more of both. Socially penalizing someone for having time and money is a bit disingenuous and reeks of illogical jealousy or insecurity.
