My maid accidentally ripped apart the fibre optic in my house, hence I have no access to D3 or Internet based programme via my PC until it is fixed. I only have access via my iPhone. Bored!

I thought it was going to snow today, but then it rained. Also that sucks.

Did you try to make that sentence as First World Problem as possible? Because if so you did a really good job. :)

@euggie If you play later today we should get a group together that can handle high MP to get you some keys. Not a single key for you after a bunch of MP2, MP5, and even an MP8 run - I'm sure we can get some others willing to help make the runs faster. If your luck doesn't improve, we might even have to go MP10!

It rained yesterday, it only rains 3 days a year here. It was impressive seeing the tunnels flooded :-P

Not a single key at MP8?! That's quite...RNG!
When I did 4man MP7 last time, we got a total of 11 keys (edit body parts) in one run. Lucky us.
What build do you like to see on a monk in the uber hunt? I was using Overawe for the 24% damage boost, and the healing beam to help heal.

@sabin

I was feeling mad at first. But then I managed to convince myself that missing a couple of P levels is not a big deal. Missing a handful of sets and legendaries is not a big deal. Missing some browsing action at AH is not a big deal. Not able to slash and kill monsters for two days is not a big deal either. On the bright side, I would have 10 slots to auction when I am back to the game!

At my hometown, it rains almost every day. The old folks at my town like to bet on the chances of a rain - at which hour of the day!

My fiber is working fine. Too bad my house uses copper wiring instead of fiber so the speed is reduced slightly. No maid because wife says no to hiring young eastern european women. Oh well, that money is better spent on investments, the kids, and dog food I guess. Did you know camel hair coats are quite warm and comfy? I usually wear wool for my suits but I picked up a camel hair sportcoat the other day it was fabulous. The tan color works well with a pair of jeans too on casual days. I love putting 200mg of caffeine powder in my morning coffee. I get the powder by bulk from China. It comes in 2lb bags and looks like cocaine.

@douvinsky Glad you're lookin' on the positive side! Hopefully the 10 slots will be clear due to sales and not just expired auctions.

As far as the preferred monk build I believe it's widely agreed on that overawe is the best mantra in a 4 man group, especially if you spam it. The only exceptions I can see is if the team is really suffering for defense, or if you're DPS is way higher than everyone else's.

Also

Do you ever wonder where the white goes when the snow melts?

Talk about freaking me out. I mean, in Buffalo we get all this snow, i mean, just inches and inches whiles piles up into feet and yards and .... OMG. Just so much snow.

Now, we ALL know snow is white. But, damn-it all, where does all that WHITE go when it melts????? I just can't figure it out.

In my home country, power failure was quite common during a heavy downpour. So the story:

Heavy rain. At night. Power failure. A group of youngsters in a big house. No other lights except one candle. Nothing to do. They felt bored. They wanted to play a game. So they sit around the lit candle. And they had a contest. Whoever could first blow off the candle, win the contest. Rule: blow by the way of fart. So one by one they took off their pants, and blew. Finally the candle went off, and the room is in utter darkness. Someone tried to light the candle again using a lighter. But, it won't light up again! Why?!

Apparently the winner farted some shits out.

I just posted this in a thread at NeoGAF that got resurrected about D3 console ports:

fix the auction house so that bots aren't inflating prices and there's a mid market again.

There are so many bots posting so many items on the AH that the prices of everything that isn't a literal perfect roll drops by the hour.

Getting gold is incredibly easy as you gain Paragon and just do key or normal act runs.

You can gear a character to comfortably run Act 3 Monster Power 0 with 5 Million gold or less (most current players have eight or nine digits of Gold idling in their account, and would probably be willing to help you), and that puts you on the same level as someone with a 500K DPS character in terms of finding drops.

Just yesterday my friend and I were able to help this guy out:
I want to give props to kennah ammostiel and jim for showing me the ropes last night. Was great actually getting into the real meat of the game and getting to experience the endgame. Also big thanks to jim for all the help on making my barb go from bad to awesome

He went from 50K DPS to 120K DPS overnight. This is just from stuff players like me have laying around or can easily acquire.

A month ago my abandoned Monk was at 20K DPS and had terrible gear in every slot. I recently splurged on a low end Echoing Fury for him at 23M, but everything else was 2M or less, and he's at 100K DPS now. He was at 91K DPS without that lone item.

The economy is fine and increasingly better for the buyer by the day if you don't want 7000 Euro Echoing Furies, and you need nothing close to that to play the game well.

There are many valid complaints to be stated about Diablo 3, but "everything is too expensive because of the bots" is currently not one of them. At all.

I spend entirely too much time writing message board posts.

I like how the people at the start of the game complained about inflation and how everybody is going to have billions of gold and the prices of items will increase accordingly, when it's been the complete opposite. Items are getting cheaper by the day which I think is a good thing. Only the perfectly rolled items are worth a shit ton (like you said Ammostiel), and that's the way it should be. That's the way it was in D2.

Actually, depends on the item(s), I guess. Certain legendary items, especially Legacy set items, as well as a lot of Blacksmith plans and whatnot still remain abnormally high in price IMHO. Or at least out of the price range of average players like myself.

I like how the squirrel photos have suddenly taken over this thread & given it new meaning & purpose. :-)

Some poetry to alleviate your boredom, @douvinsky:

Oh ye who go about saying unto each: "Hello sailor":
Dost thou know the magnitude of thy sin before the gods?
Yea, verily, thou shalt be ground between two stones.
Shall the angry gods cast thy body into the whirlpool?
Surely, thy eye shall be put out with a sharp stick!
Even unto the ends of the earth shalt thou wander and
Unto the land of the dead shalt thou be sent at last.
Surely thou shalt repent of thy cunning.

+1 point if you can identify which classic computer game it's from. +2 points if you know what the hidden message within it is. :-)
