Drops are random, just seems like they drop in a certain area because of luck/farming the same route

i think my best spot is in the ice caves in the fields between bridge of korsikk and rakkis crossing. found something like 8 or 9 in that cave so i never miss it.

I don't really see a pattern with my drops. Over the course of playing, I've pretty much had a legendary drop in most if not each of the zones along my farming paths.
