In game early this morning and a guy named Pun started asking for pants with 150 min str and Vit with AR even if its low. I posted a few pants close to this and was shot down. He offered to pay me finders fee if I found them. Bored I checked AH and linked him 2 pants and he wanted cheapest one called by name.
Being smart I checked his profile. He has only a mage @ 60 and NO other toons. We talked a long time with him trying to get me to buy the pants for 11.5 mil saying he'd give me the 19 mil he had been offering. The scam I believe is the pants for sale were his...why else would he want 11ar pants for that much without a Barb. Scam aside I thought the back alley selling method was quite interesting to say the least. |

Did this man also claim to be Nigerian royalty? Seriously though, did he know that you were looking at them in the AH? Did he give some kind of excuse why he couldn't simply buy them himself? |

Back in WoW days I have an enchanter.
I often put up some mats in AH (make sure mine is the cheapest, if not buyout the rest if not too many, and in nice small chunks for the retail market) Then I yell in the trade channel: FREE Enchanting Service, bring your own mats. No tips required. Boom....lots of AH sales, and I even got tips. |

Advance fee scam. Common in my industry. Don't fall for it.

That... would be a whole different kind of game. If you thought people were obsessed with getting keys for access to "organs" now... |
