Yeah the halfway point in terms of exp is midway between 78 and 79, so once you hit 79 you know you've crossed the halfway mark.

50 is still a good accomplishment though, the vast majority of the people that end up popping into games with me tend to be in the 20s or 30s.

If you consider the amount of XP in each paragon level, paragon level 78 is actually the halfway point.
At least that is what I was told...

Yeah, I'd heard similar...I know I'm still a loooong ways away from being at the actual "halfway" point in terms of EXP (gotta hate that Law of Diminishing Returns...!), but in terms of pure numbers & overall level, it felt nice to reach the halfway point of 50... :-D

Finally past the halfway mark.

Also finally achieved my goal of fully upgrading all my gems and I've reached an unbuffed DPS of 135k.

Its been a good couple weeks.

What route have you been using to level?

I've been doing runs of Festering Woods > Weeping Hollow > Fields of Misery and then sometimes Whimseyshire depending on how I'm feeling.

That's about the same as i run.

For a little while i was starting at the Sword of the Stranger and after setting the waypoint, just going into Fields, TP into town then restarting. Seems a bit better to go to Festering woods, getting at least the 2 cave elites for a couple NV stacks then, going to the Fields. Usually hit 1 maybe 2 extra stacks in between the caves.

From what i have read for XP efficiency, Fields by itself is the best, but it seems better with NV to me.

Btw, I usually do short runs, cause I am a bit adhd....usually either Whimsy>Fields or Highland Crossing then fields....9 times out of 10 I get the 5 stack of NV from crossing...sometimes get the bonus of watch tower also =)

Hit 100% completion today! In no small part, thanks to @Bort.

Although I did almost die in the process.

Thought running through solo in HC was the best course of action...... Certainly made an entertaining show!

GZ!!!!! on the 100% @nuhertz.

I actually lost my first HC lvl 60 DH while hunting uniques for the achievements, so it does happen. :)

*Edit. Actually, now that I look at the screenshot I posted in the other thread you made. That picture of Yakara was taken about 5 minutes before my 2nd DH died at lvl 59.

Gratz @nuhertz on the 100% That is quite impressive!

I just got my monk to 100, and have started my WD. Loving it so far in group play. Hopefully I will be plvl500 soon!

@Bort

Congrats!

I'm about 3 bars from 100 myself, I'm hoping to hit it tonight or tomorrow.

Victory is mine!

And shortly before that:

Now my only remaining goal is to hit 200k unbuffed dps, but I'm really skeptical about whether or not I can reach that before the expansion with how expensive my upgrades have become.

I figure getting to 100K is quite easy with the AH. but 200K is really a step up.

I'm currently aiming for 300K on my DH, and that feels really far out of reach, even though I'm at 250ish now. So I know what you mean about the prices.

So after a few more upgrades I'm closer to my goal of 200k unbuffed DPS, (now at 186k).

Anyone have any suggestions on where I should focus on my next upgrade? The next thing I was thinking of replacing was my chest armor once I have some decent gold again.

I think you will get closer to your goal if you get some Inna Pants.
But finding one with int and vit, 9% speed will probably quite expensive.
Max int you can get is 100, so 100 int 9% speed, 1% crit and 2 sockets. But then... every other WD and Wizard out there are looking for those.

Perhaps a unity with 43+ avg dmg, Int and 40+CD might be an affordable upgrade for your rare ring. I would look at your rare ring and ammy. There is a lot of DPS potential there, but it will be tough to keep the AR on the Ammy. If you are looking at Unity's, try and find one that has 4% bonus vs. elites instead of 3%. The bonus vs. Elites is a nice hidden modifier that will really help with your pace in the game.
