I thought I was going to lose my WD for sure.................the screen froze for a few seconds when I was spirit walking up the stairs after killing a pack, and I know that there are some white mobs up there. I pressed escape nonetheless, which didn't work because the game was frozen.

After those few seconds, I suddenly see the call-out screen when escape button is pressed, and I can also see now there was a pack of blue elites charging in my direction. They must have been the one causing the game freeze, or I was the one because I spirit walk too fast into a new pack?

When the game is frozen, pressing escape button once does help.

Good to know. Survived my 1st official DC just now. Scared to log into game now.

Lol, first run in P(50) and I looted this IK boots. So I did find the full set of IK for my barb using my WD.

Grrr. In my target area. Annoyed my boots haven't sold yet. Not sure I am willing to go lower than my current listing price of 499 mil.

All comparable boots based on vit have 50 less str. Most have more AR than my 71 though.

My Monk took out the Butcher at level 16 last night with ease. So it's on to Act2!

Only scary moment was about half way through Act2 I'd taken a break and felt it was going really well so I would bump up to MP3 for more experience. I went to fields of misery and came across the warden who jailed me, then javelin me a couple of times before I could escape with a slither of health.. right into a pack of those charging bulls. I just ran in a random direction and luckily came across a dungeon.

Shot down it, TP to town and quit. Straight back to MP0!

Whoops, Act 1 of course. Not stared A2 yet!

Finally got myself to craft some Intel gloves and Intel shoulders, hoping to find upgrades.

At the end after more than 40 crafts, only some minor upgrades.

I do appreciate the additional 35% MF that comes from these two AB pieces, making my MF% pre-buff = 290. Got me my 2nd trifecta ring loot with FR.

Crafted 9 bracers...........I think this was the 8th.

I was at first worried about the drop in protection since there isn't any AR on this bracers. But DUp shows an increase of 20k in EHP. So, this is my new bracers! The extra MF% and Health Globes bonus don't hurt either.

Thought I have decent AB bracers with both intel and vital + MF, but a little bit low on the CC. Self-improvement all the way. Braved myself to spend more on crafting. Hit this upgrade, woot! Sky-rocketed my MF to 397 in MP1 after 5NV.

P52 to P53, ONE leg:

75. Firewalkers with over 150 Dex

And they are just brims in the AH. What a cheap way to gear up a FR monk. Guaranteed roll on movement speed and 4% melee reduction (Arcane Sentry = melee damage?).

At P53, added 3%MF from P level hence now sitting at 300MF unbuffed. Played around in Act IV for the IM plan, got it finally at about 5th trial using MP1. The fights at Act IV, I gotta say, is much more exciting! I also only now realise that the KW can spawn in Spire Level 1 or Level 2.

I thought he can only spawn in Spire 1. You fought him at 2?

This was fought at level1.

Actually, I have heard different advices from different people. Some say 1, some say 2, and in one of the game I thought I actually saw the KW appeared in BOTH level 1 and level 2. I was at 2NVs when I saw the KW at level 1, so I spirit walked away from the battle. WP to level 2 and nearly die when facing the elites + (?) KW. I could have mis-recognised them though, was more concerned about my HP lol.

P(53) to P(54), 4 legs (not bad considering that in 5 of the runs I was farming Act IV for plans instead of running my optimal Act 3 MF route) including a set:

76. Skorn with over 400 strength but without LS - maybe useful for my barb?
77. The Butcher's Sickle
78. Stormgarm Bracers, and just a while later in the same run,
79. Inna Helm with FR and high spirit regen - maybe one day I have enough of these FR gears to reroll my monk to be fire!

Starting P(54), replacing Unity with an SoJ which I bought for 2m.

If my calculation in the attached table is correct, my DPS against white mobs using Acid Cloud reduces by less than 5%, while my DPS against elites from 104k to 121k before buff. This is a 16% increase! 2 million is a great deal imo.

Tested on the field, elites do seem melt faster.

Today I claimed this 15m hardcore gold from this P(100) barbarian Pzypro. I entered a story writing contest "What does HC mean to you" organised by him and I am one of the 12 honorable mentions, who win 15m each. Woot, some spare change to upgrade gears for my toons.

OMG Spirit Vessel popped!

I entered this Field of Slaughter. I didn't farm in a straightline, mine has a lot of "S" lines to ensure maximum coverage of the field without repetition. There was a hill/ cave at the north, I didn't go into the cave but I was running the hill from the east, then circling it in an anticlockwise fashion. When I reached the other side of the hill I saw this elite pack. Waller, Frozen etc. So, no big deal right? As I was running into them I also see another pack closing into me from the east. They must have been at the south of the hill while I was circling at the north.

Most of the time I can kill two elite packs without reading their affixes. So I thought no biggie. First pack laid some walls and freeze balls. I walked around. Then "boom" (or whatever sound it was), I was KNOCKBACKed! The 2nd pack has this affix. Back into those walls with freeze balls. Spirit walked. Trying to find an exit. Not sure what was hitting me but my HP pool is reducing quick. Dogs down. Spirit Vessel popped. Heartbeat raced to 100. I run and run back into Rakkis Crossing, made a portal, visited the healer, and IDing my rares while waiting for my Spirit Vessel coodown.

Lesson learned (I would never learn this when I go for speed in Act 3): Farm slower lol.
