Bidded on one similar EF without buyout just to see how high it can possibly go.

Current bid at 61m with 7 hours left. Hm.

While not playing with friends, I am happily MF farming pub MP1 with close to max 300 (the max will come with a couple of P levels). Bought these jewels for this purpose:

This is the one. Finally got a bite a 50m for mine. Bummer on the low base damage else it could have gone towards 1 billions for 1k+ damage.

Gained a P level, finally reach the MF cap.

- With MF suit, 90k sheet DPS
- With Nat's Boots, 110k sheet DPS
(but have to switch in Topaz in helm and take out Ruby). I am not particular about using ruby to gain P-levels once I max out MF. After all D3 is a loot find game and I would be happy enough to see legs regularly and not worried about when I will reach P100.

For higher MP I can switch in more battle gears (shoulders, amulets, pants) for both EHP and DPS gain. So far I could handle MP5 in a team, while MP6 is too scary.

Truth: Co-op is safer. Teamed with 2 Archons at MP2. At Weeping, suddenly we discovered that one of us is out of the radar at the mini map, for a prolonged time of few seconds. Without even communicating, we retracted back to that wiz (Las). Las seemed to just stand there doing nothing. We cleared around make sure nothing could harm her, then we proceed to clear the other areas.

True enough, Las's computer crashed. It must be a relief to see your toon is still alive - I know the feeling well enough after experiencing a few freezes before on my dead WD.

It was also great that @yoyo joined our MP2 game. He is a beast with nearly 100k DPS and hell lots of EHP. Glad to have you back at Hardcore yoyo! I had to portal and AFK to town twice while we party though -------- first time to make infant formula, and 2nd time to calm down a crying baby lol.

(edit: starting to see rain of legs again. 1 leg and 2 sets in a single run, brims though)

I would fit in so good with your games. My little girl is the most common cause of my games terminating. @h311o is probably so tired of me joining a game, just to leave after 2 minutes because of the baby. hehe.

EDIT: I underestimated my MF% & DPS.

With MF suit without SoJ, retaining ruby in helm, 110k Sheet DPS with 324% MF @ MP1solo i.e. 1% away from MF cap.

@Bort

If we make a game together there would probably be 50% of soloing each lol. I could only play comfortably at night (my time which is normally PDT 6-9am) while they (yeap twins) are sound asleep before their milk feeding time @ midnight.

Wow, won 18m random price by giving out congratulations to the birth of a baby. I was only congratulating and didn't expect me to win!

No, not tired at all :)
It's always nice to run with a known teammate - remember the maghda fight when I would have lost my dh to a DC.
And your situation reminds me of the time when my girls were that young.
And the chats we have are mostly about that :)
So let's go on with our journey.

First time in co-op arranged team I witness an R.I.P.

I was in Act 1 MP2 with a Wizard. A friend came online and I eagerly invited him. It was at the Field. We were fighting trees. The message said XXX has entered the game, then the message said XXX has been slained.

Huh? Seems like he bannered right on top of those poison clouds laid by the trees and lagout.

Lesson learned, don't simply banner in co-op games.

I was at a loss of words. Me and the other Wizard stopped our farming, and we were in complete silence for a good minute I think. I only managed to say in party chat, "darn". "is it lag?". And he replied "yea". Then he quit the game and we continued our farming.

I logged on later and asked him if he is OK about it. He said that's fine and he has started with a WD, and have a little gold reserve to his name, and also a friend to powerlevel him. Last time I check he is already at 60. I would give him a little spin later to help him regaining his P levels.

Joined MrDeath A2 game.

MrDeath is the first one who did a run in Patch 1.08 with me. I caught him at the bnet forum and asked him if he could show me what he meant by the most efficient route in A1. Althought that time, I was using my WD. Shh.........let's not talk about the dead shall we.

Upon his advice, I tried out Cyclone Strike [Implosion rune extend 34 yards] instead of Bell. It is a nice skill to have for our group!

1) Me - Cyclone Strike - pull those mobs towards me in a nice cluster
2) MrDeath - CM Wizard freeze them
3) Zayda - Bear Doctor - stampede them
4) Darkness - SWCyclone Conviction monk

We are also running a fast route in A2:

VotA for the elites
Oasis just for KW
Channels for insane XP

Out of the 6 MP3 runs, no key dropped for me. What's the probability of it...........less than 10%ish?

Key Chance
MP0 5%
MP1-MP10 = MP Level x 10%

MP3 = 30%

Who's a math whiz here? I think you'd have to calculate the 70% chance to not drop a key 6 times.

Not a math genius here but I was thinking along this line:

Mp3 probability of dropping = 30%
Mp3 probability of not dropping = 70%
6 mp3 runs not dropping = multiple of 70% itself 6 times = 11.x%
Hence the chance of getting at least one key from 6 runs is the complement of the above which is 88.x%

Not my day!

I have always been thinking about switching to knife on my dead WD. I was waiting for that 3 comma thing before pressing buyout buttons on knive and high EHP suits (I am now glad that I never hit the 3 comma, else that would be a huge gear sink for me).

My thinking:

Ignoring skill choice (e.g. AoC works well with LoH) and DPS level, knife with LS would protect you more from DC. This is because it will help you regain HP while your pets and followers are doing DPS, while LoH need you to actively proc your skills to gain the LoH, which you can't while you are in DC state. This is especially so when you are soloing and have no teammates to help you kill monsters and pick up globes for you.

EF on the other hand has this fear factor which is annoying to some teammates, but not really if you can kill them fast enough. I was checking with the group if I should switch out my EF and they just say pfft we will kill them so fast anyway. My EF has 19.x% fear from memory, and I actually like the fear factor in solo play, since it interrupts the monster's actions so well.

The Wizard who is dead to lag while banner into the game, is now back on his feet with a WD. With his max 17m gold reserve he surely did a great job of upgrading his WD to a decent 53k DPS. Had a few runs with him at A1 and A2. The group surely loved his WD's Mass Confusion/ Paranoid + BBV. That's a max of +50% group damage when used together!

Those are crazily fast runs. At the end of runs, he gained 4 good P levels while I gained 2 P levels.

Also looted quite some amount of legs. Worthy of mention are:

1) BT pants with more than 150 vital, cold resist
- lowest price in AH for >150 vital is 25m. With cold resist prolly could fetch up to 50m.
- I am keeping this as a possible spare for me, for now, since I haven't found a better craft than my AB cold amulet.

2) 1227 DPS Manticore with 2 holes
- Intel version
- doing a price check at JSP now

Joined a couple of MP5 runs...........crazy XP!

The downside is..........proc my NDE once in each MP5. Damn those trees and savage beasts!
