LOL, time to buy them all in. Simple math. Perfect emerald going for 2 mil? when crafting cost (from flawless square) alone is 5 mil? Price should clear back to 5 mil at least. Anything above flawless square are made, not dropped, and should trade at at least the crafting cost!

Look at the price structure, Flawless star at 1.7 mil, Perfect at 2 mil, Radiant at 7 mil? No one can (and hence will) make Perfect and sell at a profit at 2 mil! 3 Flawless star = 5.1 mil, + 0.2 mil craft cost = 5.3 mil without that 15% auction fee... If only it is possible to breakdown gem into lower quality gem!

People probably made a bunch, need gold recently and started dumping them. When all the inventory are cleared and with price below 5 mil, no one will make and sell them anymore.

That's when i start selling my inventory at 4 mil and double my gold!

Unless, there is a way to dupe gems!

Radiant Star Emeralds are down to 5.5 million... crazy.

Totally! I snatched mine up lastnight. Dunno if they'll even go lower since gold is WAY easier to "farm".

Just bought a couple too! 11m.

Now i just need a cheap 2 socket Manticore!! :)

Down to 5.2 million. I picked up the last one I need at 5.8 million and I'm not complaining. All of the radiant star gems are below 6 million right now.

Whoa 5.2m... Tempting. Wish radiant star topaz were dirt cheap.

Is there a way to dupe gem? I can't understand, why are people crafting gems and selling them at losses for days!!! Speculators' inventory should be seeing sign of clearing, but no ...

Prices were already up to 7 million this morning when I checked. I'm guessing speculators were dumping like mad and are still dumping each radiant star gem. It was a pretty safe investment since they never really dropped below their gold value. I doubt anyone foresaw them dipping so far below their Gold value. I know I picked up my 2 Radiant Star Emeralds and I suspect many other players have already done the same so it's hard to say whether they'll ever make it back up over the Gold cost to craft them.

I'm putting my money on amethysts. Think about the next patch.... PVP anyone? who is not going to put a radiant star amethyst in their helm for PVP. Also if that extra % health allows you to go from MP 8 to MP 9 (since you have been stacking DPS everywhere else) the advantages are greater than a topaz or a ruby.

The PVP patch isn't for a very long time though...

I decided I would have use for the extra Dex anyway and picked up 2 more for my armor at just a touch under 4.2 million per Radiant Star Emerald. If it they ever find their way back above 6 million, I can always resell them for a profit. In the meantime, I'll have a little more damage.

LOL yes. The patch didn't motivate anyone new to join; it just altered the market for long time players. I think with Monster Power and increased drop rates, it has leveled the playing field for everyone in that almost everyone can achieve high MF and therefore, an equal opportunity at a great item. There's really only two classes of player now: those with the absolute best gear (each piece worth billions) and everyone else. The only real way to break through is by finding a few items that are worth hundreds of millions and slowly gathering gold into the billions. It's really hard to sell much below 10 M these days and 10 M isn't going to buy much.

I've offered to raise the DPS of friends to 80-100k if they wanted to come back to d3 for nothing. Their response? "WTF are you still playing that ****?" So yeah, my personal impression is if you played a lot before 1.05, you're probably playing as much or more now. If you did not play much or not at all, you're probably not playing much or not at all now.

Up 3 days in a roll! Price curve between the top 3 grades of star gems seems to be normalising.

Dang i should of dumped all my money into radiant star emeralds =( when it was 4-5m. Now it is 10m each.

Better money, as usual actually, was in Topazes. They've actually had a better commodity return on the last three price troughs and spikes. They got down to just under 4 million and now up at 10 m. I'm not sure there were dupers so much as the huge stocked up supply has finally slowed down.

lol the auction house tracker says that radiant star emeralds are 4 gold each! dam better go home and get on that!

Is radiant star emeralds gonna keep rising? and Where do you think it will stabilize at? I got like 200m i can invest but i don't want it to go down and lose gold -_-.

I think radiant gems will always stabilise at the cost it takes to make them. So probably 15-16m... Kind of sad that they are still rising because I actually was about to buy them but was a day after they started rising. :(

Lucky for my friend I told him to buy all the radiant he needed when he sold some stuff and got a truck load of gold.

Gem prices are back up to what they suppose to be now. I mean high than cost to make them atleast

Bought a few at 5m. Sold one just now for 16m.
