As of this time, we have not seen an update regarding a Battletag or on a profile. He/she promised an edit by Eastern 6PM on the North American server.

At this point, I would like to see a response. Similar to prophets of old that claim great accomplishments or to alien abduction conspirators, great claims require great evidence.

I demand evidence of those items in inventory and the gold on hand.

His last activity on the forum was downvoting my post, I don't think we will be seeing him again. Sure, I could be wrong about this and like I've said I hope I am. The giveaway is just too good to be true, anyone could sell those for real money and be rolling in the cash.

I'm just weary of this and am concerned people get scammed by someone on this site

LOL this has to be the most bizarre thing I've seen on this forum so far. It's clearly a fake giveaway or some sort of joke, but what exactly is the scam? You lose nothing by entering and it's not like I'm going to perform some sort of trade or lend the guy gold. This seriously has my mathematical mind like this: o_O??

I suppose it's possible that he does have duplicates of all 3 items (duplicates do exist) and he's just willing to throw away billions of gold. It's also possible that the world around me is simulated reality and I haven't taken my red pill yet.

I have no idea how good his posted legs are. I was more attracted by the 50m lol.
I also have no idea why / how if he wasn't 'real'. Is there an advance software which will activate upon trade?
Or maybe he is a happy and generous duper who is coming over to our dark side? I maybe he is just joking big with us.

I am more in line with you on this fact. It seems like he was pushing for people to IM him in game for whatever reason.

I'm not sure about the scam part, feels more like trolling. If I were to scam, I wouldn't use some of the higher-end items in game as bait... just saying.

Also, to search for these items, use diabloprogress.com's item search. I did a quick search, they don't appear to be dupes.

We just got trolled for the first time here.

@anurian I think that if a member now wants to hold a contest, and they have no crediblity, they should first provide you with evidence of the rewards available.

They should first strip naked to demonstrate their stark innocence

I was waiting to hear some testimony of other people here playing with him before believing his boasted stats and generosity. If anything, I was rather surprised to see the predominance of positive response to his posts. My instinctive reaction to his DPS aggrandizing was to tell him that nobody here is really impressed by sheet DPS pxss contests and to shut the fxck up. I chose to refrain from comment instead. Thankfully, I see that the issue seems to have sorted itself out regardless.

@zerokewl I saw the giveaway thread where he claimed he would give out prizes of 50m and other very good legendaries. But after a while of not showing his D3 profile ppl got suspicious and gnawol did some detective work and showed that the prizes he put up pics of were already owned by some top D3 players.

I apologize to anyone I ranted at or accused while investigating this. I was more than angry at that person and, if possible, would use my time travel device to cause his/her mother to have an abortion while she/he was in utero.

he actually created a new account today and started a thread asking if anyone wanted to farm mp8+
he did tie his battlenet to this new account, and it was the same yoan guy... the thread has been deleted, but fyi, he may be lurking still

I usually give the other the benefit of doubt. I won't insist on "Prove yourself innocent else you are guilty", but I remain wary and careful in dealings especially over the web.

There was a hack where someone could join your party, activate it, all your gear drops to the floor and they pick it up quick.

Not sure if this was fixed/was his intention...
