Perhaps you should try a more aggressive pricing model. Selling items at 1/6 the value is a great way to get rid of a surplus of, let's say, 100k potions...but if you're just starting out, you'll need to be aggressive and use capital to leverage the market.
I have 1500 Mythic Health Potions I'd like to sell you, but at 50 gold/piece, I'd only make 75k gold. Considering I had to click on the field 1500 times to get those potions, and how easy it is to make 75k, that much gold isn't worth it at this stage in the game's life cycle. If you instead bought them at 200 gold/piece, I would make a profit of 225k, which, while still not too substantial, would make me more likely to work with your commodities. You could then sell them at 400/gold/piece, netting yourself a quick 450k, which you would then reinvest as capital. Once you hit 1 million potions, and you're the "one stop shop", you will be generating ridiculous amounts of gold and gain a loyal cult following. TL;DR Change your rates to buying for 200 each, selling at 400 each to jumpstart your business. |

This is not a business for me!
I am doing this to be nice. I think the vendor potion prices suck so I decided to buy potions for more than the vendor and sell them for much less than the vendor. I make 50 gold per potion unless people insist on paying me more, or they give me their extra potions for free. Both of those things happen sometimes. |
