Seems that MP1 is my sweet spot now.
I haven't timed my run, but it is about 10m XP from Skycrown - Rakkis - Field (skip cave) - Keep 2 with only a star ruby.

Oh replace dart with firebomb ghost bomb. Amazing aoe damage.

Wondering why you use enchantress? WD doesn't need attack speed.. but maybe just personal preference? :)

I'm quite keen to switch to scoundral for the CC and buy a bow with freeze just to slow some of the larger HP packs down a tad.

I chose enchantress upon the recommendation of the player who traded me HC golds for SC golds. She claimed to be the top 10 HC barb so I followed her advice. Her Enchantress has 12.5k DPS and she was offering me a package deal of 20m for all her enchantress's gears. However, I got a cheaper version for my enchantress at below 10m with 9.3k DPS.

Why Enchantress?

Enchantress can wield the Maximus which has a chance to summon a Demonic Slave. The Demonic Slave is a valuable companion in Hardcore, since it helps to deviate monster's attention from you.

I also realised that being a WD I do not need attack speed buff. So what I did is I choose the passive skill "Mass Control" for my enchantress over the attack speed buff. It has worked amazingly well so far..........the crowd control ability is neat in Hardcore!!

Looted IK gloves. Decent 180+ str with resist.

Hope to get at least a couple of millions from it.

Yeah barbs need attack speed so they like enchantress. I think it's kinda the worse follower for WD though :(

I use templar just cause I can get highest MF on templar compared to other followers and it adds a melee buffer between me and monsters but if I was doing very higher MP/ubers and wanted safety i would choose scoundrel with a buriza and would say the same applies to HC.

Something to think about anyway :)

Why does everyone say Atk spd sucks on WD? It seems to yield biggest dps for me.

Note I don't use bears as I don't like getting that close to packs.

Guess people are worried about AS making us OOM faster.

OOM = can't LS/Loh with the exception of leeching dogs, for a couple of seconds?

Mana.

Of course on sheet it does but you can't replenish mana fast enough.. you'll just be out of mana in 1 second rather than 2 :) That's why it's always better to do more damage with CC/CD on items than cast faster.

Question is since I spam firebomb ghost bomb I do not often oom. If I was using bears I'd consider swapping out some Atk spd, but again I hate being that close to mobs.

Up my EHP to 400k, now I feel more comfortable dealing with exploding Fallen Maniacs.

Quite the opposite for me. Dps is at a new high where as ehp is at a new low of 230k... I will be working on crafted gloves and shoulders to remedy that a bit.

I am in the hunt for a new amulet to up my DPS by at least 10k.

I have been hanging to my existing necklace because it is my only source of 'survival' LoH at 900ish.

1) At P21, looted the followings:

- WKL
- The Tormentor
- Skorn
- Thing of the Deep
- Hell Rack
- Natalya's Slayer
- Ageless Might
- Gravel of Judgment
- IK gloves
- The Az?Ka?Turz? Fist

2) MP2 will be my new playground, up from MP1

- With 400 EHP, my WD can take quite some beatings. I think I can survive 2 explosions from the Maniacs. Didn't test it on purpose, but my HP was downed by less than 50% when I bump into one. And to date, I have not had my Spirit Vessel for a second chance activated. Guess I have been playing rather cautiously.

- My current build is Acid Cloud. I spam (over-spam) quite a lot of Acid Clouds. They did not kill all mobs instantly, but worked over their 3 second dmg duration. I figured I could down mobs at MP2 with the same number of Acid Clouds over the duration, hence a more efficient use of the Acid Clouds.

MP2 is still quite easy, and it doesn't drag on my game as much as I thought. Hence it is favored now for the extra XP (+75%?) and efficiency.

3) Lastly, spirit walk into a bunch of mobs and hit Soul Harvest - Vengeful Spirit is a sexy move.

Wow man! I tried mp2 once awhile back and I did it without worry, but it was painfully slow compared to lower mp lvls.

My dps has increased a lot but my ehp has gone down accordingly. Once we were even or close on both dps and ehp, but you have surpassed me a TON on ehp. Working to craft new gloves and shoulders with better ehp. Thinking vit shoulders would be best bet as with no int I would lose only 8k dps, so vit with a little int would serve me well.

Made some good sales over the weekend including:

1) The Az? Fist sold for 6.6m
2) IK Glove sold for 25m
3) Rare Int-AR-CC-AvgDmg Ring sold for 5m (more DPS than my Zuni Ring but I need Zuni set bonus)
4) Rare Str-Vit-AR-CD-CC 5-In-1 Ring sold for 35m

1) looted 2nd Natalya Slayer with dex Vit. Looted 2nd Az'?? Fist with LoH.
2) bought a 20m BT pants with LoH, so that I could replace my Survival 900 LoH ammy with a DPS ammy. 5.5m for 8k increase, not bad. Love the name of the new ammy - The Legend, made me think of Will Smith.
3) first time had my Spirit Vessel activated, ran out from the Bridge Store like a little girl and portal to town for healing.
4) leveling up a monk, enjoying the gear and skill choice in soloing. Some close calls in MP10, that's the way to go! Going to kick their ass once I reach 15 and have a socket 1h.

"Downgrade" myself from MP2 to MP1, in fear of higher risk of death at MP2 due to mistakes/ disconnection. My pets could probably still own them in MP1 should a DC happen. Immediate observation is that things especially elites melt faster!

Looted "The Flying Dragon" and a "Zuni Mask" in the same run. I was actually surprised at the rate of leg drops, considering that I have been a full believer of max MF at softcore side and I wasn't worried about looting leg at hardcore with so little MF%.

When we get a Grp together I feel I have dps for mp 3. Not sure I have the survival ability of mp3 solo.

I was saying to myself that I do not need to buy new gears, my existing are good enough for farming hence my gold balance would only increase.

But I guess I am someone who couldn't resist the temptation to 'improve myself' - threw in 40m for this EF. Good thing is my DPS is now up to 93k, and EHP is at 334k. Maybe it is time to try MP2 again. I was at 78k DPS 400 EHP last run at MP2.

@douvinsky MP2 can be nasty, my toon is reasonably kitted out and I have the odd death on MP2 in SC.

If you're doing it for XP, I'd suggest you upgrade the ruby in your helm and stick to safer MP levels :)

Gonna check if I have enough flawless square to craft a higher ruby.

Yes, I just updated my toon on d3up to see DPS/EHP - 113K unbuffed & 235K EHP.

I could swap out some gems for more vitality on my chestpeice but it shows that more DPS doesn't mean less deaths :) I'm also keeping an eye out for a Zuni chest with + armor for cheap as I think my armor is too low overall.

I am farming A1 for uniques at the moment and I sometimes die in Caverns of Araneae to the damn little spiders - usually due to my laggy PC and then wake up instantly surrounded! No HC for me until I upgrade my computer I think.

2) Looted 2nd Zuni Mask with nearly 150 Vit.
3) Bought Unity for 5m, 3k less DPS than old rings, but after taking into account the 4% dmg to elites that's about even when it comes to elites. Added some more LoH from Unity.

You selling a zuni? Mines not great and could be upgraded.
