Also trying this. Been just doing the vault then reloading. Looks like I will add sewers and aldaris if I can figure out where that is.

So far a handful of run with no legendary items. Base MF around 270.

Oh and a thought. These would make an amazing give away prize..just sayin :)

my results of 3 runs from vault to alcarnus -> 4 legendary but no ring yet

all the items dropped by normal mobs, no legendary drops from elites.

about 220 MF with NV and 250 gf (and lot of pickup radius) with a WD

3 runs = 4 Legendaries? you're lucky.
according to the other thread, the ring was not found in VoA but when you rescue Adria

I checked all the blue/yellow rings from VoA to Alcarnus and VoA to the Oasis were lvl 16, from the Oasis to alcarnus wrer lvl 16 and lvl 11.

I think is a good idea start at VoA for quick 5 nv

the run is about 45 min.

there is also a 2-levels dungeon called "Ruins" or something, I forgot the exact location, but it's full of Elites, not sure why it's not as popular as VoA.

@Venoom yeah, "the Ruins" which are found in Dhalgur Oasis, its a viable place to look other than VOA, i usually farm around there when doing act2, i think people like VoA for the density of Elites and quick runs

to be honest, I didn't farm Act II as much as I farmed Act I, but "Ruins" didn't seem much less packed than VoA, definitely worth a run imo.

while famring Act I and II, I also found lots of random events that I didn't see while levelling my characters.
in Act II, I once found the time-limited dungeon, and also a "legendary" blue magic objet called Rakanishu's Blade (glad I didn't vendor or salvage that one)

I didn't find the ring yet, only lousy bracers, but it's not a complete waste of time.

oh, and for the poor people doing this run with high MF:
you will find lots of yellow (specially if you stack NV in some dungeons), lots of them are good (a much bigger percentage than in Inferno!!!) and you can sell the best ones for 30-50k on the AH (probably more but I don't have patience to check every single item)

or some combination like that will sell quickly.
and obviously good helms with sockets.

many players are levelling up new characters and don't mind paying 30-50k for good items.

this strategy will soon stop being profitable, as more and more people keep farming for (and eventually finding) it, while the demand is shrinking

While they may not be 100 million, they'll still always be worth quite a lot since the demand will always be high and it's such a truly boring grind with basically only one positive outcome that there will never be a whole lot of people doing it. For my own Paragon leveling, I would welcome the day the Signets go for 2 million, but I'm not sure that will ever happen. If you can't farm Act 2, this will probably be the only place you can expect a really big hit for newer players. Even now, 5 million Gold would be a really big deal for me.

they are going for significantly less now, i see one for 50mil bid and 70mil buy/out so i imagine these are going to drop in value REAL soon. The bots will be onto this in a matter of days and the prices will drop to something "reasonable" guessing around 20mil per piece. I've done this run for about 6 hours now, its no fun as much as the guy in the Video says it is, it just aint

EDIT: That signet has been sold, the next lowest buyout is 110mil

I hope someone here does find a ring for all the hard work they have put into it, i think i've done my last run for now and will go back to act3 farming!

@gnawol 6 hours? Wow. That's dedication. Did you see any Legendary drops at all? You must've only made 100k in Gold in that time.

I think the bots are the only ones selling right now. If the drop rate is 1 in a million from a random white monster, you would have a 1% chance of finding one after killing 10,000 monsters. Even after 700,000 monsters you'd only have a 50% chance of seeing at least 1 drop.

Even if we're optimistic and say there's a 1 in 100,000 chance of seeing one drop from a random white monster, you're still looking at killing 70,000 monsters before having a 50% chance of getting at least one Signet. You would need to plan to kill 230,000 monsters to have a 90% chance of seeing at least 1 signet. I have a feeling the true drop rate is closer to 1 in a million than 1 in 100k.

Only a team of bots could conceive of running enough to kill at least 230,000 monsters. It might be more profitable to have them do Gold runs than Signet runs, anyway.

I found manald ring...I sure was excited to see a brown ring drop. Fueled me to keep going. Base MF of 270 dropped with no stacks from white mob in desolate sands.

Found 2 more legendary items tonight. Not the good one, but a belt vigilante something and a quiver named sin seeker.

Belt in sands area with maybe some NV

Quiver in vault 5 stacks NV.

2 more legendary items here, but no ring....

1 in sadar's tomb and the other in sands area.

I think you guys are wasting your time in VoA and Desert Sands.
Check the original thread, nobody found it there.
you can either find it in the sewers, in the quest to rescue Adria.
or you can stack 5xNV in VoA, and then go farm the Oasis, that's where it dropped for many others.
I personally like the 2nd run better.
You spawn directly in VoA if you do it right, quickly clean it for 5xNV, then go to the Oasis and kill all the Elites and trash mob, and clean the cellars. I found more Rare rings this way than by doing the Adria run.
The drop rate without NV seems awful (so few Rares, even with close to 300% MF) so it's not a bad idea to stack 5xNV in VoA.

I woke up today and found 2 pages of this ring in the EU AH.
Yesterday, there were only 4. The Youtube guy is really ruining this.
Farming a week for 100Mio is nice, but for 10Mio, not so much.

I think Venoom is right about the farming area, but probably because of the items creatures can drop. I bet all those skeletons in the VoA can't actually drop rings, or are very unlikely to do so. The critters in the Oasis probably drop them at a much higher rate. I'm still in favor of building 5 NV in the VoA, but he's* probably right about wasting time in the VoA comparatively.

*I'm assuming Venoom is a he. I don't think I ever asked.

I don't think he's "ruining" anything. They're great items to have in the economy and the more the better.

VoA is still a great area to start with for quick 5xNV, but don't farm it thoroughly hoping to find the ring.
Nobody in the other thread found one there, they all found the other ring.

when I farmed the Oasis, I got quite a few Rare rings of similar level to the Leoric Signet.
while the Adria run only gave me very few rings (most of them blue)

drop rates are somehow really bad in Normal without 5xNV.

btw, I am underpricing the Rare amulets/rings I found doing this run (30 to 50k) and they sell like hot cake.
I should check for the average value, I hope it's not 500k, lol.

Are you guys using MF gear besides th 5 NV stack? What amount of MF do you have? Gear + 5 NV + Paragon LVL.

I have 278% base MF with follower and 5 Paragon LVL.
not very expensive to get there in Normal Mode.
if you're not a DH, you can even get the 300th Spear for an extra 20-25% MF on your weapon.

I still think its worth it at todays price - but not sure how much longer.

At least we were onto this "early" and thats the best I can hope for if somebody else comes up with something or finds it on the d3 forums bring it here.

2 more act II runs: 3 legendary items but no ring :(

1 of the legendaries were lvl 3 boots on ZK zone...

I think the math says you shouldn't run VoA to gain 5 stacks of NV when farming a Signet in the Oasis. We have to make a few assumptions like it takes 50% longer to gain 5 NV from the VoA and clear the Oasis than just clearing the Oasis alone. If you're running at least +100% MF then the additional time it takes to stack on an extra 75% NV simply isn't worth the reduction in the total number of kills you'll get in the Oasis.

I still don't have any of the speed clear achievements so I might work on those with my 200% MF to see if I get any Legendaries to drop on any of the acts running through Normal. It certainly would be nice to find any of them at this point.

I'm actually using a Sun Keeper on my DH when I do normal runs, just use Chakram Shuriken Cloud and you can just run next to monsters without even attacking.
