I might have to try this out. Are most people just farming the oasis? Is it important to get nv first? I have about 260% base mf on my barb so I would think I'd have a better chance just focusing on pure farming and not worrying about nv.

@asrr Yes, get 5 full stacks NV first. There seems to be evidence the guaranteed Elite rare drop from 5 stacks of NV have a slightly better chance of being a higher quality rare than the other elite and white mob magic/rare drops. Try building those NV stacks in higher level areas, though just in case you get it to drop. In theory, any monster in Act 2 after about the Vault of Assassins can drop the Signet. Oasis works best, apparently, because the monster levels are high enough to drop the Signet, but not high enough to drop gear much above the Signet.
