Cheapest Nat Boots on the AH was around 17m. Mine is with tiny FR, and cheapest with FR was around 30m+. Hence listed mine for 20m, might have helped some beginner FR monk with this.

The HC:SC exchange rate has been hovering around 1:4, and I noticed for the past week or so, billions and billions of hardcore golds have been exhausted from sellers. Time to embrace another wave of inflation?

Had some good sales of Rare items. See below for details. Might have to start looking into bracers more. I thought with crafting the market would be very small.

First bracer listing was 15 mil and didnt sell. Relisted to like 9 and it sold.

Weapon started out way higher, but settled there.

inflation for hC? nope cause while gold sticks around the gear goes bye bye. more crafting and such.

Speaking of crafting,,,What is up with all the Mats dropping?? Brims down to 250k, tomes 12k, all gems down about 1k ish. Not a fan with all my debit.

I think the inflation, or rather the cycle of inflation-deflation-inflation, comes when those SC gold converter reached 60 and start acquiring all the good items which are within their budget. They (+ RIPers) could also be the one who wanted to craft/ re-craft all the AB gears to get them to good farming speed, hence driving up the mats price. I was lucky to sold some tomes at 30k each during the peak.

While I was checking for trifecta ring prices on the AH to set a price for my new found FR trifecta, I saw one with opening bid of 1m without buyout. So I bidded on it. I did not expect me to win, my purpose was more for me to track how people responded to it and what is the final (or close to final) price. Maybe it is weekday, no competition and I won it for 1m. Not bad huh. Makes me considering switching my monk to FR.

I would say it sold low due to no stat, and no ehp. I know I wouldn't bid on that as dps increase wouldn't out weigh ehp loss.

Also maybe I didn't get lucky on bracers, but you are under valuating your bracers?

Now I got it for 1 million, I would equip it on my monk. I will let the other gears take care of the EHP issue.

I hate to keep item listed in the AH with no sales. They occupy my much precious space out of 10.

For items over 100m I will hope for big sales e.g. the price check on my IK boots is 150m - 200m, but I will list them for 250-300m (or BIN of 200m in game trade). I don't mind if it is there in AH for a couple of weeks when there is no or not much comparable at the AH. An additional 50m is 42.5m net, and I am patient unless I know that the prices will decrease in the future across the board.

For good rares which I picked up, I would want to sell them quick. I often sell them at less than 20% of the similar items in the AH. They are not very good items at our level (e.g. your sold bracer, I would rather craft AB bracer for the long term. I would only buy it if it is cheap (something like below 2m, or even below 1m and best is bid just over vendor price :P as not many players are looking for these in the AH) as a temporary measure before I get serious with crafting a good AB bracer for my toon.

My niche, on a good day the sales (volume and amount wise) easily exceed those from my good rares. I will send you a private link showing what I achieved in one of the past few days. You probably do not need it if your dedication is in the Inferno farming, but you are welcome to try or ask me question (in private!) if you need it.

A ring like this, I just sold it for 1m. If it doesn't sell at 1m, I will try 500k then 100k.
It might worth much more than 1m though (how much more?), but I do not want it to occupy my stash unless I can sell it easily for over 10m.

And I just sold a pants like this for 75k. Sold within 5-10 minutes of listing.

I think my check of similar indicates 1m+ cheapest (lower the stat a bit and I was seeing 200k), and some of them are much better in every aspect. I am happy with 75k, at least I don't have to wait for another free AH slot!

So much so for wanting to reroll my monk to be Fire.

After comparing similar in the AH for both FR and spirit regen, and also only FR and only spirit regen, I put up this Inna Helm for what I thought is a pricy 66m and I actually hope that no one will buy it. It went so fast that I wanna do a price check at JsP even after it is sold. The spirit regen is on the highish but the CC is only 5.0.

Speaking of surprising sales I want to show you my monk accidental flip (aka the Douv) (douv=flipping gear you've outgrown)

as a TR monk I could not use OWE to provide extra AR, so I looked and found





This provided me the AR, DPS to demons, and Movement spd I needed at the time. I quickly realized that keeping sweeping winds up inbetween packs sucked without 4 piece set, so I replaced it. I then found some nice boots and found nicer boots to wear and took out some loans expecting to sell my boots this past weekend, which failed. Being unwilling to lower the price of my posted boots I thought what can I sell to earn some gold. After a few days I remembered the chest piece that was imo pretty damn boss. I listed it with bid 19 mil and buyout of 45 mil. This morning I noticed it was bid. Gave me a cheer knowing I only paid 12 mil for it. I log in tonight after long day of work to see

Grats on the sales (& profits)! Don't you like Hardcore AH?

New Hardcore 60s with golds (aka new SC converters) are usually buying whatever they want, within their budget, in a go. I did this with my WD as well when I had shipments of gold arrived from the Soft Country. As a smart user we should plan our purchase ahead and watch the items in the AH. As a smart seller, timing timing timing. Go for the kill when there isn't much comparable in the AH.

Regarding tears I can pay you the AH price, rounded down to the next hundred. I probably need 1,000 for my next go at trying to get a Vitality Trifecta Gloves with AR and, hm, either int or MF or PUR or chance to Stun or who cares.

Glad to hear about the sales @zerokewl, but I won't be collecting with my DH... RIP to fallen maniac in Keeps at MP2 - small lag spike, game caught up and I was dead - didn't even see explosion - was at full health, no elites in sight. I was shocked to sat the least. There was an alive maniac on the screen laughing at me, but I didn't even see my body crumpled on the ground. Lost close to 700 million in gear, so the repayment will come in handy... :) On back to back runs - just prior to death had Mara's drop. Both are high Int with WD skills... The Firebat one may be valuable right before the patch. I'll post links later.

Sorry to hear about your DC loss.

Nowadays there are so many occurences of DC. Everyday I see people complains about DC RIP thread in the official forum. Those complains are not just from new HC players (i.e. someone like me when I first started, who complained about losing toons to server lag), but from high P levels HC players. It seems that there was a mass massacre from server lag throughout most part of the world.

I am not sure if Blizzard is going to "improve" this at all. I am playing everyday knowing that this is a timebomb when the DC will kill my toon again. This is very uncomfortable. I would hope they could provide safe sanctuary measure when the problem is the server lag at their side, while maintain no change if it is due to own internet provider/ PC issue.

Ai, flip this and sold for 5m.

I still pick up rare chests.
Some of the times I can get a decent roll like this, and I sold them for 1m each. Time to help out some new starters!
