@Metta Thanks a bunch for that tip! I regret I only have one upvote to give. This is exactly why I created the thread.

May be a silly question, but when I join a new public game and someone in the party types a message in chat I have to click on their name, press enter and then enter again to access the Party chat input.

Is there an easier way that I've overlooked?

@enzyone, I am not sure exactly what you mean. But if you type /p in chat it will go to party chat.

When running up MP10 Ubers, open the door, THEN go hunting elites. I won't make such a mistake again. We shall dub it the "ecoDC" for ecocd Door Check.

Apologies and thanks one last time to Baldy, ZeroKewl and HDVision. But hey, Baldy got a Gidbinn so it was ALLLLL worth it.

You mean just to make certain you are on the correct quest?
Or am I missing something else.

I'm guessing that's what's meant. The very first time I & a group of friends went hunting for Ubers we made the same mistake--got 5 stacks of NV only to discover there was no door in town to destroy. :-0 Fortunately for us, we weren't on MP10 or anything crazy like that, so at least it wasn't a session filled with lots of deaths on our part...

My very first run I also did this. I actually didn't realise there was a selectable quest AFTER killing Butcher. So I thought that it was intended that you have to kill butcher as part of the process of killing ubers.

Did exactly the same, some very confused people on skype wondering why this bloody door wouldn't crash down :D

Glad I'm not alone. It only took 15 seconds for Baldy, I think, to recognize that we were on the Butcher quest, because the wrong townfolk quest dialogue was available. We figured it would be faster to restart than to kill the Butcher. Given the flaming floor in his room preventing permafreeze, that might have been true. Thank goodness Blizz didn't put any floor hazards in the Uber rooms.

Found this to be an extremely useful tip when shopping. When searching for items on the AH, you are able to change your preferred stat on the right pane by right clicking the first sorted column.

Right, since this is a thread for Stupid Obvious things... and I just read another scam forum rant on the official Blizz forums.

1) If you drop something on the floor anyone in your game can and will pick it up.
2) If you give something to someone you don't really know so he can "check their DPS change" he WILL quit the game without giving your item back.

*sigh* some people.

*Edit: replaced filtered word. ;)

Nah, I didn't lose anything. I just saw someone else complain about it.

I was actually more surprised that people still fall for scams like this.
