PC - Pox Ring

I found a pox ring for 500k, and I can't really find anything to compare it to. The only stat worth talking about is the 175 Dex.

I'd put a pic, but for some reason the image isn't coming up for me. >_<

Searched for 150 dex and there are 3 coming up cheapest for 3M highest 80M but no bids on any so you might search in GAH (there I can't as I'm from Europe)

@ZRyoku16

Put that up on the RMAH for $2.69 and it should sell - profit for about 5M.

Nice pickup.

@baccarat0809 Will do! I did have it on for $15.00 in hopes someone would buy it for the rarity. lol

Thanks for the help guys! It kinda threw me because the closest things I could find, I had to drop my search to 150 to have anything come up and the lowest on the GAH was 8m and the lowest on the RMAH was $20, but they both had IAS on them.

I've only been able to sell 1 IAS item and I got 16M for it - it was around 6% ias. Max i believe is 9%.

Most people want high INT on their zuni rings - the + to dex is just a bonus. I've found one +170 INT and two +180 INT rings that I've bought pretty cheap (less than 2M for one, 5M for the other and one was like 850k). Those haven't sold yet but I have them up at 17M - 20M or so. I started at 45M for one in the high 180's but it didn't sell. Who know, with xmas going on, hopefully they'll sell now.

I think part of the reason the rings went up in price is people are back from college for break time and spending more time playing the game - thus more demand for the rings .... pllus somebody also said that a bot probably hit our market - which is certainly possible as well.

Either way I've done very well lately as I've been sniping and getting items in the 850k range and turning around and re-selling them for 1.6 or so very, very quickly.

I've been doing pretty well, too. Went from 4m gold 2 days ago when I started to 12m gold and about $4.50 in battle.net.

If a bot has hit it, then it doesn't seem to be affecting me too much. I'm still winding up with more Pox rings than I can list. :D

I'm also striking out into SoJs, since as the old saying goes: 'Don't put all of your eggs in one basket'.

I've sold a couple so far, and they're easy to price. You just have to price it by the skill on it. They seem to be going up pretty fast, too. The SW SoJ on my monk, I paid 4m for it, they're going for 14m now, minimum. It helps I'm just skimming the up coming ones before I go to bed and bidding on the low ones. 400k for a summon zombie dog SoJ when they're going for 4m? Sure, why not! :P

Checked around today, and the highest ones on there were 165 dex, the ones near that without the other value added stats (trifecta stats, vit, so on) went up to 18m, so I listed it for 20m. Happy to say that it did sell, making that the largest gold sale I've had since I started playing the day the game came out! :D

Holy Crap @ZRyoku16

I can't flip my 170+ INT rings for anything yet you guys are flipping high +dex rings and other stats well. Crap - you beat me on the best flip so far. Congrats man !!!!

@baccarat0809

Thanks! ^^

I couldn't have done it without your help. It seems like any decent amount of a stat will sell for something. Int just sells for more I guess. Also, the highest +dex ring on was 165 and mine was 175, so I had a rarity. I think the int rings are a little more common, which means they might be a little harder to sell.

On an off note, Stone of Jordans aren't turning out too bad. They sell a little slower than Pox Rings, but I bought a SW SoJ last night for 7m, swapped it out for the one on my monk (stats were all about 1-3 higher) and sold the old one for 17m. ^^

Started my ring emporium 4 days ago with 4m and $.15, I'm now sitting at 38m, $7.64, and both AHs full of rings that are listed for 1m-25m each ^^

Maybe we could both talk ring theories some time? :P

@ZRyoku16

Agreed. I think we should start looking at all of the rare or set rings and figure out what will sell for the most profit - ie

is it better to buy a bunch of zuni pox rings at 800k, flip them at 1.8k and sell them within an hour of listing, or is it better to buy them at 800k, flip them onto the RMAH for 1.69, sell them for .69 and re-convert back to gold,

or

do we go elsewhere .... i like the idea of expanding out - for one, it'll lower our risk having different areas to go to, and
two, it expands the profit potential.

Who knows, maybe the d3rmt team becomes the ring experts on d3 having our own emporium of rings - buying and selling both on and off the AH. Sounds cool - if the mods here will allow it.

@baccarat0809

It does sound pretty cool.

On the rare rings, I'm trying out the GF/MF rings with high rates, just buying them up at 100k or so when they have some other nice stats like at least 2 of the trifecta. I'm also testing this on amulets. So far, I've sold a couple in the 1m-7m range (the amulet was bought at 210k and sold for 7m, but it was pretty damn nice, glad that no one else bothered to out bid me, hehe).

On the SoJs, I'm noticing it takes a bit longer to sell, but they do sell, and usually for a higher profit margin (buy at 300k, sell for 1m or $1.25). I'm still trying to flesh out which ones are the best to deal with. The monk ones seem pretty stable, where as the wizard ones are either near worthless or they're all over the board (worth 2m one night, 200k by the next morning).

I'm thinking about taking a look into occulus rings next (got one as a drop not too long ago for my monk, so I'm kind of interested). It might have to wait for a couple days, though. Work load is a little heavy as of the moment. Only enough free time to check my AH and the forum. :P

@ZRyoku16

Still at work after getting here 830am as well - long days ahead, but I got a chance to jump on here and I keep D3 up in the background, jumping into AH about once an hour. I've sold 4 Zuni rings today on the GAH and 2 on the RMAH but there's nowhere near as much demand today as there has been. I've dropped the prices on just about every ring I have up - and I'm starting to see rings posted up at 800k and again and lasting about 10 - 15 minutes before its purchased.

I think we're in for a downswing again in prices - so I'm going to be a bit more selective in what I'm buying - trying to get more rings with higher stats so I can concentrate on those rather than the bottom barrel. There was a great mark-up in those bottom barrel ones the last few days. I made a killing, but I think its over.

On the gold side prices are now 39 cents - and I saw it at 40 cents for about 10 minutes. I've got 20 M sitting on the AH at 40 cents - and its been up for a while, so hopefully I'll be one of the first to sell there - then I expect the price to drop down pretty quickly by the end of the week - back in the low 30's maybe in 29, but probably 30. I'll buy back when it hits 29 cents, unless I sell one of my 180+ rings as I've got alot invested in them.

I took a quick look at the SOJ's and the one thing I don't like is the sheer volume of lower end rings. There seems to be a ton of them out there less than 500k prices - so a lot to look through - nothing you can do quickly like those zuni's low gold ones.

If I have time over the weekend I'll try to research other rings and put up the info. In the meantime if anybody following along here has anything add, please do so !!!!

thanks

@baccarat0809

The SoJs are pretty much priced by skill. Some like Weapon Throw are priced up by the amount of Weapon Throw, but most are just priced by skill. I'm working on the monk rings, the Weapon Throw, and the Summon Demon Dog. Those seem to be the most stable, and they tend to stay over 2m on the lowest BIN.

Someone in another thread mentioned a great way to search for the SoJs by skill. Search in all armor, put in 'Bonus Vs. Elites 19' and then the skill and it'll only bring up the SoJs with that skill.

It is looking like the prices are coming back down again on the Pox rings. I currently have about 16 pox rings and half are just sitting in my stash as of right now (picked them up on low auctions over night). I've sold about 3 on the GAH today for about 1-2.5m each, but none on the RMAH yet.They've been on since yesterday morning, though. So I'll recheck current prices and throw them back up.

I wish you luck with the currency trading, I don't have the patience, nor the courage to try. I'm just gonna buy back into gold with my $8 I've made on Pox Rings once it hits rock bottom.

I'm hopping on now to check stuff out. Got my workload done enough for today. If I get a chance, I'll try to research the Occulus Rings.

Tip for the SOJ. Look for +Cold Damage as it adds to slow and cold damage modifiers.

@Zryoku16

I sold 1 crappy ringon the GAH last night and 4 on the RMAH last night. 3 of the 4 on the RMAH were crappy ones, going for 1.68, 1.69 and 1.98. One "nice" sale, that a 171 int ring for $3.99. I picked that ring up for 2.5M on 12/18. It took the better part of a week to sell it but the profit is equivalent to 9M, as I consider the price of gold to be 25cents, as that's where its headed and where I'll convert my money over as I have no need of converting to gold now.

Just went and totaled everything up.

Started playing auction house tycoon sim at 20M - 15M from the sale of they sexay pants that I found and the 5M I won here, total 20M Gold in the middlle of Nov.

As of today, I'm still sitting on 20M Gold but also have $29.44 (when everything credits on the RMAH) and another 22 rings yet to sell - two of those rings being int +180 and one ring being int +170, so I'm estimating those rings to be worth around 75M - very conservatively - so I estimate that I'll have made around 200M by flipping, which is significantly more than I would have made by running the game, though there is the off-chance for a BIS piece.

edit - forgot to add that I've also purchased every jewelry plan out there and bunch of blacksmith plans as well, so I spent a good amount coash on those plans.

I think Nat's rings may be worth flipping. As an experiment, I bought the cheapest buyout for 1.2 mil yesterday and put it on the AH for $2.00. It sold by the time I got up this morning. So $1.00 profit after blizzard cut.

Lowest priced nats ring was 1.9M. I bought it and put it up on the RMAH for a little over $2.00 as the lowest was up at $2.99 or there-abouts. We'll see how it flips.

@Zryoku16

Just sold one of my 180+ intelligence rings on the RMAH. Got $6.69 for it. Take off the $1.00 sale and its worth $5.59 - or roughly 27 Mill. I tripled my money - maybe more - on this one. Can't get on right now to see if this is the one I bought for 8M or I bought for 5M. Either way its a very nice pickup.

It did, however, take over a week to sell. Closer to 10 days actually.

Not sure if there's a market for 180+ Int zuni's on a regular basis. My guess - and only a guess - is somebody leveled up a WD since Christmas as used mommies cc to get the highest int zuni ring out there. Thats the only reason I can easily account for why it sold today at that price - when I listed it for less before the holidays and didn't get a bite.

Either way, we'll never know - can only speculate. Lets see what the research on the nats rings leads us to. I think @Khan may have found our true next target market.

Lets see how the

I'll check out the market tonight on Nat's Rings. The only experience I have with them so far is buying one for my monk, and the lowest at that time was 2.2m. Sounds like it should run pretty well. They seem to have a stable low point for the most part.

@baccarat0809

Haven't checked my GAH yet, but I sold 1 ring on the RMAH for $1.25 ($0.25 adds up after all) last night. Not too bad for one of many rings I picked up at 500k auctions over night.

Very nice work with the higher int rings! I haven't had much luck with them, except for finding a 149 int ring for 800k last night. Hoping that it'll sell sometime soon.

Also, very nice profits with your sales over the last month. As of last night (before spending 8m on a ring for my monk) I had 37m and $8.14 after starting with 4m 6 days ago. Hoping to break the $10 mark by tomorrow for $10 per week. :P

Alright, gave the Natalya's a spin. I bought a ring for 1.9m with a socket. Put it up on the RMAH for $2.50/1.50 AF, and sold it 10 minutes later. I'm thinking this might work wonderfully at this point, lol.

Edit: Alright, tried another one to see if it was a fluke. Bought a socketed Nat's ring for 2.1m, and while it took a couple hours, I sold it for $2.50 again. Seems pretty stable. ^^

I think we may have found a money maker here. About 3m profit in 10 minutes. Not bad at all, I'd say.
