@shniggies.

There's something to a price of $1.41 that just sells. No idea why - but it works, and I'ma not gonna mess with it.

Congrats on the sale - hopefully the first of many - now go parlay that result with MORE !!!!

thanks again!
are pox the only things you're flipping from gah to rmah?
i'm wondering if you have some general tips for flipping items on gah to rmah?

@shniggies

I've flipped mainly zuni pox rings, but i've done:

spectrum - only made a few % gain. Bought the highest "black" one that I could find since I had some money laying around and I'm trying to make a Killing on it. Paid 67M - trying to sell for $69 - looking for a 400% markup. Not sure if it will sell or not, but I'm trying. If somebody is looking for black damage this thing is a wrecking ball.

bul kathos wedding ring - bought for less than 200k - flipped for $1.30 - 500% mark-up - takes a day or 2 to sell.

nat's rings - can't take the credit here for finding the market, but I average selling about 5 a week here. Mainly small market cap ones that I buy for 2M and re-sell for $1.99 - though I did find one with 170+ int on it that I bought for around 8M and have it up for some big $$$. Don't know if that will sell, but with the IAS on it, there may be a wd that needs an off-hand ring and that would go nicely for him.

If @anuiran can get a private forum up I'll got into more detail as I'd rather save that then post up. I also found out that there's another member of d3rmt that's making some good money flipping zuni rings who isn't posting up. I was messaged in game with some feedback. I think this person will "come out" if our private forum opens up. I hope so - some great ideas there.

One note from today so far - 2 good sales ($9 range), and 1 very, very low buy.

somebody listed up a plain zuni for 200k. I took it down and re-listed for 900k and sold it minutes - and i mean minutes - late.

@eastdragon42

You know, i've thought a TON about doing that - but it would require a large time investment to go back through and re-capture all the data. I'll try to make the time, but it may take a few days.

There was a thread started about possibly having a "closed" forum for us flippers to communicate on. I have no problem sharing my data with anybody here now - but I'm worried about the data hitting the internet and having my market shot down ... not that we then couldn't move into another arena, but I like the little "party" we have here now.

That's very generous of you--I wasn't even asking about posting or sharing the data with the forum, I was simply curious whether you personally had been tracking your own data more meticulously. I mean, it's obvious you know your market extremely well, and it seemed like the natural step for taking it to the next level would be to have all your sales data in an easier to track format than the D3 Auction House. That specific post where you noted how at a certain amount of Life On Hit the price jumps was what set off a light bulb in my head; cause it seems like you would be able to spot such trends better & easier if you could crunch the figures in an Excel spreadsheet or something. i.e., maybe there's some other stat on those rings that also makes the price jump that even you haven't discovered yet...?

I wonder if there's some way to petition Blizzard to add a button allowing users to export their AH data to CSV format or something.... ? :-D

What is the transfer fee? I don't get those but maybe it depends on your region or something.

I assume it's paypal transfer fee.

@MaximumStock

Ah okay are you able to get auctions sold sent straight to your PayPal account rather than as $ balance in your battle .net account?

For small transactions 8c is quite a lot.

I think you can do that, yes. If I recall correctly they take 15% off your transaction as fee.

Nice flip - didn't think there was that much profit potential in the CC rings. You proved me wrong !!!

Anyway, nothing major sold but it was a solid day for mid-card items - with 3 selling in the $9 range and one in the $2 range. - 4 total.

No bite on the spectrum yet - that may take a bit but the mark-up is large.

Rainy day in Buffalo - not much else going on. G/L today all.

@Baccarat0809

Thank you, sir, for the kind words. The avg. dam/vita/cc combo is what sold it IMO. Nice and toasty here in the ROC at a balmy 62 degrees. Not to shabby for late January, I'll take it.

In the last few days I had 3 rings that sold for about 3-5 euros and one bigger one that brought me 29 euros net. Have been picking out some more here and there but I am kind of stuck with them at the moment.

Would be nice to get some help on those due to my research not being enough to price them properly.

#1: There are some comparable ones in the AH but they reach from about 10€ to over 70€ which makes it hard for me to evaluate it propery.

#2: I can't even find rings with 110+ Int, % Life and Life/hit, neither in GAH nor in RMAH.

#3: Not too much to compare with available in RMAH.

Have a nice day and good luck with your trading!

Ring #1 - 164I/138V - I would price around $15.41 then work my way backwards and it should sell by the time it hits $12.41. Int/Vit too low to put it over the $20 mark - IMO.

Ring #2 - 172I/227LOH/11%L - I would put that at $28.41 and work my way backwards. Had that had an Int of 180+ then It would have been in the $40 range. With that high of a life you *may* be able to get higher, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that go for $38.41. If you have some time and aren't worried about getting your momney back asap I would probably start at the $38.41 price point first - heck, its only 36 hours that you're wasting if it doesn't sell.

Ring #3 - 143I/106V - I would probably put up around $8.41 and work my way backwards. I wouldn't go less than $5.41 though as it should sell for at least that.

Please keep in mind my #'s are on the US Server and it looks like you're on EU - though I believe things are close enough to keep the same figures. As always start higher and work your way lower.

I've had items in my inventory for 2, 3 weeks before its sold sometimes - as I'm always looking for a deal, sometimes I have more inventory than slots (well, not sometimes, thats all the time) so I end up putting up for auction what I think will move the fastest (lower $$$ items).

Last - keep in mind we have much better results on the weekend - especially with higher priced items. If you have a real gem don't be afraid to put it up for sale for a few days and wait for the weekend for it to sell.

Thank you very much for your thoughts and tips!

EDIT: As I was reading your post I noticed that you wrote down all (relevant) stats for your decision making. But for the third ring you didn't mention the socket. No offence at all here but did you just miss that or was it intentional? :P

Intentional - as I don't see sockets adding that large of a price for high end items - it may add an $1 here or there, but thats about it. I think sockets have a higher value on lower priced rings than higher priced.

Just a purchase on the gah, roughly 50-100% markup, don't remember.

Nice gold fountain you found in those rings guys,and converting the $ in gold,that`s really great.

I would join you on this but I need to find what sells like this on AH,cause neither the zunis and natas do.

I got a big buget( over 1b),as I made a lotttt(over 5b) on the GAH starting from 200 mils and fipping high-end items + over 500 euros on RMAH,if there is anyone here from Europe I would love to start flipping/listing along him here.

Well, it was a slow night yesterday night. Not one sale - on either the GAH or the RMAH. Weird, though I had a bunch - and I mean a large bunch - of high $$ items up.

I also went on a spending spree the other day when the AH went down. I won about 15 auctions in that timeframe. The avg price i paid for the zuni rings was around 580k. The avg price I paid for a bunch of nats rings was around 1.1M. Put most of the zuni's up for 895k and the nat's rings for $1.99 to $2.29 or there abouts as there's a lower priced items on the AH and I need to clear space and move some items as I'm up to around 70 rings right now ... just crazy.

I've got 4 rings that are $30+ rings that I need to put out as well but I don't want to "flood" the market with them. Most of them were purchased for around 20M but I got a great deal on one of them for 8M.

Anyway, I'm off to Lost Wages, err Las Vegas, tomorrow for work (and the superbowl - wooooooooo) but I should still be able to post when I'm out there as I'm taking the laptop.

have a great night all - gl on your sales.

Is it just me or have flipping sales on pox's seem to have slowed to a crawl?

I haven't had one sale in the last 2 days. All my rings, IMO, are priced reasonably. I believe the market has taken a downturn. There are more rings available for sub 1 mil prices than I have seen since starting on this venture.

Staying the course...

I had a downswing where I didn't sell any ring for around 36 hours - but things picked back up last night. I found a new sale item, but I'll hold off on that discussion until we have our private forum.

Anyway, 3 sales last night, all sub $3.00 sales, and six sales last night on the GAH, all but 1 being sub 2M sales - so things defin picked up last night. The ROI's on the GAH sales isn't as large as those on the RMAH, but I bought so many damn rings during the AH maintenance that I had to move them out.
