So, I figured I'd go for a bigger score than I've been doing lately.

Bought this bad boy for 39Million. STEEP price, but I figured I'd make some money on it.

I put it up for $38.95 .... didn't sell.

Something told me to put it for $39.89. I did - SOLD. Turned $39 Million into roughly $39.00 - or a buck a million.

Not to shabby.

Had one other sell - and i'm having a problem with 3 zuni rings that have expired - though i started a different thread about those.

I was listing Nat rings today and, on price checking nat's rings on the RMAH, noticed a 1d11h for $1.25 (lowest are usually $2.00 anymore). I took a quick peek at it and what to my surprise, it had 34 AR on it! Bought it up quickly and, on a price check, it's currently worth 2.5x that. Made my day, lol.

What do you think about it compared to @baccarat0809 's one?
BTW: The ring I posted costs 38 million gold.

If you are going to flip that try putting it up for $35-40. That might sell almost as well as @baccarat0809's. That sexy socket makes up for the loss of avg. damage IMO.

@SHNIGGIES

That one will probably only sell for $1.50 or less. The min damage is pretty low making that pretty unspectacular.

So, I bought this one for 50 mil hoping to flip like the @baccarat0809 master.

@Baldy - thats a monster ring. That should go - it may take a day or two but that should go nicely.

@shniggies.

As has been said, that ring is "unspectacular" - but it WILL sell. I would price it at $1.41 and it should sell. That's basically doubling your investment.

Wash, rinse, repeat. Eventually work your way up to bigger rings.

Everyone else.

Here's what I've seen.

The #1 stat everybody wants on the Zuni rings is +CC - however, and this is the BIG however, those rings seems to be "priced right". Yes, there are deals, but the better deals are this way.

#1. Intelligence +170 - prefer +180.
#2. Vitality +170
#3. Damage +25 - 70 (or higher).

What I've found is that people will more mis-price these rings than any other. You can find them anywhere from 800k (very, very lucky) to 16M to 39M - depends.

Rings with Intelligence of 180 will sell ALL DAY LONG at sub $5.00 prices, but you can get $8 - $9 out of them. When you start combining the stats it sends the prices sky high.

There's a HUGE market for sub $5.00 rings. There's a "good" market for sub $10.00 rings. There's a SMALL market for $30+ rings - but there is a market and I've sold 2 very, very high end rings.

I've gotten greedy and bought some higher stuff that hasn't moved - but those few items that have moved have more than paid for everything.

If I sold out everything that I've invested in and just looked at a bottom line I've made will over 600 MILLION since I started flipping in November. Besides the few of us here flipping to the best of my understanding there's at least 1, maybe 2 bots working the ring market as well, as anything less than 1M gets snapped up pretty fast.

Good luck on your sales guys - I found some GREAT deals today (187 Int ring for 8M, 183 Int ring for 10M) so lets see what goes tonight.

I originally priced it at $49.99 just for the hell of it...never got a bite on it. I have been dropping it down incrementally over the past couple days but I have still had no luck.

I probably not drop it down any more that I already have because I feel that, based on your sale, that sucker will sell.

No question that will sell for $30+. One hot ring my friend. Wish I would have been able to snag it.

I've really struggled to sell mid-high end rings. In fact I've not sold any. My highest sale I think is 3.99!

Now I'm at the point where I've sold out of all my lower end items I need to start moving these others. Being the bargain hunter I am I haven't paid over 4M for any one item so it's not a problem.. but it'd be nice to see them go. Not sure if I should hold out for patch still.. as I see these zipping out then, or just go price cutting crazy.

Tested my water in a new market over the weekend and had 3 sales already. When the gold price comes down I'll cash some more out and see how it goes but I'm going to stay away from the low end pox market from now on I think.

All my sales come from below the $1.99 mark. Well, at least 90-95% of them. Sometimes I get lucky with a higher sale but lately it seems that market has stalled considerably.

I had 2 sales this last weekend that were in the $8 - $9 range - but neither the high end (and I've got 3 high end) nor the mid price have moved.

I also took a crack at a shard. I paid 65M for it and I'm trying to sell it for $60+ as its the highest black damage shard out there.

Two more tips for you guys if you're not doing it already.

#1 - have a buyout price. Never, ever leave an open ended auction up - give somebody the ability to close the deal "now".

#2 - I'm adding a #4 to the items to look for - LOH. Low end (sub 100) doesn't do much, but if you can get a 300+ LOH ring that will add a few mil to the price.

Well, @baccarat0809, about 1 and a half minutes after our little chat in game, the ring that I listed for $34.84 sold and another one for $5.99 sold about an hour later.

Needless to say, the expired sales that I had before I left for work, I added about 20% cost to each ring. Maybe they will sell, maybe they won't, but my confidence is renewed substantially after making $40+ in one day.

Have had 5 sales last night, and 5 yesterday. Profit is small but they're going out like hot cakes which is more than I can say for the jewellery I have listed.

Gold back down to .25 so time to trade out and stock up on supplies :)

@baccarat0809: Just out of curiosity, do you have a spreadsheet with all the rings you've ever sold? I think it'd be very interesting to data mine the stats on all those rings vs their final selling price. I'm sure you could extrapolate a bunch of neat & more precise information from that data, such as just how much extra gold LoH over 300+ will add to the value of a specific ring, as opposed to just a general "few million"... :-)

@eastdragon42

You know, i've thought a TON about doing that - but it would require a large time investment to go back through and re-capture all the data. I'll try to make the time, but it may take a few days.

There was a thread started about possibly having a "closed" forum for us flippers to communicate on. I have no problem sharing my data with anybody here now - but I'm worried about the data hitting the internet and having my market shot down ... not that we then couldn't move into another arena, but I like the little "party" we have here now.

@baldy

Congrats - I knew that ring would sell - that's a nice price. I thought I was going to have to apologize to you this AM as I undercut your price with my ring that I had out there - moved it from $39 to $32 - and it also sold last night - i'm very, very happy yours sold earlier.

@ninjax

Yes - yesterday was a good day. I also sold 5 rings throughout the day - some low, some middle and a big one.

@shniggies

Did you re-price your ring at the $1.41? If so it should have sold by now. Thoughts on joining us? We'd love to have you along and can use your feedback if you do make a sale.

@All

Well, that +187 ring I talked about that I snapped up for 8M - sold for $9.85 yesterday. I also sold another one in the $8.00 range and 2 more in the sub $2.00 range. I also flipped 3 more on the GAH that I bought for less than 1.2M - with a minimum of selling them for double the price.

With everything that we did yesterday, those of us flipping did well over $100 - and maybe close to $150.

Also - i'd like any of the flippers feedback. If I do make the spreadsheet that @eastdragon is talking about are you guys willing to add your data to the sheet? Simply put the more the info the better, and if i do this I'd like to get everybody else's flips into the sheet as well.

I'm willing to add to the sheet. I'm a Nat's ring guy myself but I'm sure it would add some value.

I've started my own sheet a week ago.

I log jewellery as soon as I buy them, and then just put in the sell price if they go & calculates profit for me (based on .25 gold buy rate).

Example below, column headings are: Buy date, Buy Price, Sell Date, Sell Price, Profit

http://i45.tinypic.com/6y0idt.png

There are also colums for jewellery item name and a string of other helpful stats so when I have an item I filter by its name & can see if I've sold similar.
Sorry I didn't share more of it but I'm the cautious type :)

On a separate note I've made 21M profit in 24hours in sales in my new market, all sales under $2. Hopefully it stays this consistent!

@shniggies.

There's something to a price of $1.41 that just sells. No idea why - but it works, and I'ma not gonna mess with it.

Congrats on the sale - hopefully the first of many - now go parlay that result with MORE !!!!
